Monique Samuels Shades Candiace Dillard’s Claim of Being "Traumatized" and Further Defends RHOP Reunion and Fight Behavior, Plus Candiace Defends Crying at the Reunion, Slams "Toxic" Viewers For Enjoying Fight

The second part of the Real Housewives of Potomac reunion aired on Sunday, and Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard-Bassett took to their social media to air out more grievances.

Although the women cited “healing” journeys they’ve undergone since last season wrapped, we can’t help but wonder if they’re still holding on to a lot of anger and resentment since their violent altercation, considering some social media reactions after Sunday’s episode.

Monique continued to show her disdain for Candiace’s behavior at the reunion, first responding to the OMFGRealityTV account pointing out that Candiace was “throwing jabs” at Monique and Ashley Darby “left and right.”

But she’s so traumatized 🙄,” Monique tweeted, referencing Candiace’s claims of being so considerably impacted by their fight.

“So am I supposed to be crying so they can believe me? I’m not an actor sorry 🤷🏽”  she also wrote, reacting to Andy Cohen and the other women questioning Monique’s emotional expression vs. Candiace’s walking off stage after welling up in tears.

The “Drag Queens” rapper then shot back at questions about how she handled herself during the fight, chalking up her behavior to self-defense.

“Why didn’t I let her go? She just bust me in the face with a glass and continued to throw glass. Wtf?” Monique asked.

Candiace also tweeted along with the airing of the reunion, responding to fan criticism about how she behaved during the three-part event.

“Candiace really has to stop crying. You gotta take your sh*t and be ready to square up bout your sh*t. You can’t talk sh*t and cry,” a Twitter user wrote.

“Why? Yet talking sh*t and beating people up is acceptable?” Candiace shot back. “This narrative that crying is a negative emotion underscore low emotional intelligence and needs to be rewritten. If my crying triggers you, you need to talk to your therapist about it….”

Candiace went on by calling out viewers for finding entertainment in watching the fight go down during season five.

“… Telling me MY version of emotional expression is a problem is the real issue…esp when you all sit in your homes in bathrobes gagging at other people fighting; which is the real toxic form of emotional expression,” she stated. “Just my two cents.”

We’ll have to see how this all resolves (or… doesn’t?) in part three of the Real Housewives of Potomac reunion, which airs next Sunday at 9/8c on Bravo.
