Ahead of the Real Housewives of New Jersey season 11 premiere on Wednesday, Joe lashed out at Melissa on Instagram before accusing her of faking storylines and destroying families in an effort to stay relevant on the Bravo reality series.
“Melissa Gorga needs to shut up,” Joe wrote on his Instagram page on February 13, along with a link to his latest interview.
“Melissa needs to defend herself from her fake storylines and pretending to have problems with her husband,” Joe told Celebuzz on February 13. “The only problem they have is they destroy other people’s families!”
Joe spoke to the outlet after seeing that Melissa had appeared on Us Weekly‘s Getting Real with the Housewives podcast, where she revealed she’s “done” with Teresa following a feud between the two of them during production on RHONJ season 11.
As fans may have seen in the trailer, Teresa defended her ex Joe amid an argument with Melissa and her husband, Joe Gorga, during which Melissa claimed to be sticking up for the mother-of-four.
“You’re damned if you do, you’re damned if you don’t and I’m going to don’t from now on. I’m done sticking up for anyone,” Melissa said. “I’m just going to say nothing anymore and you’re on your own.”
Following Melissa’s comments, Joe told Celebuzz that Melissa and her husband should be happy for Teresa, not trying to destroy her with fake drama.
“Melissa and Joe make up storylines. They destroyed our relationship. They should be happy for their sister instead of trying to destroy her. It’s a shame as Teresa is a single mom,” he explained.
“Shame on them. Now that I’m not there, she’s going after [another] to stay relevant,” Joe added.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 11 premieres Wednesday, February 17, at 9/8c on Bravo.
