REPORT: Vanderpump Rules Season 9 Will Begin Filming in May, Find Out Who's Returning to the Cast

Vanderpump Rules season nine is set to go into production in early May, according to a new report.

Following months of questions in regard to when filming on the Bravo reality show will begin and a series of firings, the returning members of the show are expected to reassemble for filming on the new episodes with a number of new guidelines in place.

On April 27, Us Weekly confirmed the news, saying that while several members of the show are returning, including Lisa Vanderpump, Tom Schwartz, Tom Sandoval, Katie Maloney, Ariana Maddix, Scheana Shay, Lala Kent, James Kennedy, and Raquel Leviss, a lot has happened since fans last saw the cast at the season eight reunion.

As Pump Rules fans will recall, Bravo officially cut ties with Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Max Boyens, and Brett Caprioni in June 2020 due to their racially-charged comments. In December of that same year, amid calls for the axings of Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright, the couple confirmed their departures on Instagram.

According to Us Weekly, Bravo has confirmed a “comprehensive health and safety plan” has been put into place ahead of production on Pump Rules season nine.

“The plan was developed in accordance with CDC guidance, all state and local orders, as well as NBCUniversal’s own safety guidelines. The health and safety of the cast and crew is the priority of Bravo for all of its shows,” the network revealed.

In addition to the exits mentioned, Dayna Kathan has also left the series, telling a fan on Instagram earlier this month, “I’m not returning but excited to see next szn!”

No word yet on a premiere date for the new episodes.
