According to a new report, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member is preparing for the start of filming on the new series‘ debut season as she continues to deal with the ongoing production hold plaguing her other spinoff, Vanderpump Rules.
“Lisa is having a really hard time with the loss of Giggy,” a source close to Lisa revealed to Hollywood Life on December 15. “He wasn’t sick, just really old so it didn’t come as a total shock, but she’s devastated.”
“Lisa begins filming her Vanderpump Dogs show before the year’s end and she can’t wait. She’s really looking forward to getting back to work,” the source said, noting that the series‘ cast will include “all new faces.”
As RHOBH fans may recall, NBCUniversal confirmed the launch of Vanderpump Dogs in July and revealed that the show will be airing on their streaming service, Peacock.
As for the future of Pump Rules, the insider went on to say that Lisa is shocked to see that filming on season nine has been pushed back for so long.
“She never thought Vanderpump Rules wouldn’t be back (in light of the recent firings and departures from notable names on the show) and she seems to be missing filming [the new season],” the source revealed.
The insider then noted that while Lisa does miss the process of filming RHOBH, she does not miss her co-stars.
“You could say she misses RHOBH, because she wants to be working, but she doesn’t miss the ladies,” the source confirmed.
Prior to Lisa’s June 2019 exit from the show, she was targeted by a scandal that has since become known as “Puppy Gate” amid season nine. At the time, Lisa was accused of — and later denied — leaking a negative story about Dorit Kemsley to Radar Online that suggested Dorit had abandoned a dog she adopted from Vanderpump Dogs.
