The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast has just gone into production on their upcoming 12th season.
As a number of the returning ladies remain on the outs with Jennifer Aydin following her season 11 feuds and her recent social media dispute with Melissa Gorga, several members of the show, including Melissa, Margaret Josephs, and Jackie Goldschneider, are upset about her return.
“The ladies of RHONJ will start filming this Tuesday [June 8] and a few of them are surprised that Jennifer Aydin was asked to return,” a source told Hollywood Life on June 7. “After the reunion, Jackie, Margaret, and Melissa were none too pleased to find that out, as they are not particularly friends with her right now. They are not looking forward to filming with her and haven’t seen or spoken to her since the reunion.”
While Melissa, Margaret, and Jackie aren’t speaking to Jennifer at the moment, Jennifer has remained on good terms with Teresa Giudice and Dolores Catania, and Dolores is hoping to mend things between the rest of the women.
“Dolores is the peacemaker and is friends with everybody so she’s tried to help fix things but it hasn’t worked,” the source noted. “This is where the drama will be picking up.”
In addition to spotlighting the current feud between the RHONJ cast and Jennifer, season 12 will reportedly also featured the addition of at least one new face.
“There is one new lady who will be filming, and Dolores knows her. But it’s too soon to know whether she’ll be full-time or not,” the insider explained.
As fans of the show saw earlier this year, Jennifer got on the bad side of several of her castmates after she suggested it was Margaret, not Teresa, who started the rumor about Jackie’s husband, Evan Goldschneider, potentially being unfaithful. Jennifer also accused Margaret of being “sloppy” after learning about her relationship with her former boss, who Margaret claimed sexually assaulted her.
As for Jennifer’s feud with Melissa, that began when Melissa took to Instagram ahead of the season 11 reunion to slam her castmate as “fake and conniving,” and the feud continued when Jennifer fired back by accusing her co-star of selling fake purses at her Envy boutique.
The insider went on to say that as the ladies tend to their drama, the husbands of the show are also at war.
“The drama seems to be spilling over between the men, too, as Joe Gorga left Bill Aydin out of an upcoming event,” the source shared.
