Leah McSweeney seemingly confirms the current behind-the-scenes drama among the Real Housewives of New York City cast is far more interesting than what’s been featured on the show.

While fans struggle to keep up with reports regarding the future of the show, Leah admits that she’s also having a hard time keeping up with what’s taking place among the group of women.

“I don’t have Google alerts on,” she told Jezebel on August 27. “Of course, I keep up with what people are saying and everything, but I do feel kind of removed from it and I have to do that for my sanity.”

Though Eboni K. Williams recently said she’s been given a date for the reunion amid reports that the taping has been postponed on multiple occasions, Leah failed to confirm or deny her co-star’s claim. However, she did confirm that the reunion will likely be used to address the animosity that’s developed between certain cast members since filming on season 13 wrapped.

“Basically, the reunion needs to address not what happened during the season when we were filming— we had a great finish. We need to address everything that’s happened since then,” she proclaimed.

As fans well know, Leah has received a great deal of backlash this season with some viewers accusing her of ruining the show. Though Leah doesn’t subscribe to that notion, she does share what she wishes hadn’t aired this season.

“Maybe me having like multiple meltdowns in the Hamptons,” she said of her behavior following news of her grandmother’s passing while filming the show. “I think there were certain moments in that first trip in the Hamptons that better explain how much grief I was going through.”

Still, Leah boasted about the support she’s received from Rihanna when addressing viewers’ opinions of her.

“I’m like, you know what turn on me all you want, I have Rihanna. I don’t need anyone else,” she joked.

As for Eboni, who has also been heavily criticized, Leah is sticking by the newbie and defending her role on the show.

“I don’t think people have a right to censor what Eboni wants to talk about,” she declared. “Also, I’m not really sure how we would have a show that’s in New York City during this time and not have it be brought up.”

When it comes to season 14, Leah still doesn’t have a clue if she’ll be asked to return amid conflicting reports regarding a cast shakeup. But when asked who she hopes to film with, the Married to the Mob founder had one person in mind, and it’s not her friend Eboni.

“Some people want OG’s, some people want new people,” she explained. “What I want is Tinsley [Mortimer] back.”
