Porsha Williams is starring in her very own Real Housewives of Atlanta spinoff, Porsha’s Family Matters. Judging by a just-released sneak peek at the limited series, it’s all about her whirlwind romance with Simon Guobadia as well as how her ex-fiancé, Dennis McKinley, and her family have responded to it.
While the new show won’t premiere until late next month, fans are getting their first look at Porsha’s “family matters,” which include plenty of speculation and suspicion about Simon and a massive brawl that leaves Porsha in tears on her fiancé’s lap.
When the trailer for Porsha’s Family Matters begins, she and Dennis, the father of her two-year-old daughter, Pilar “PJ” Jhena, are seen sitting down at a restaurant, where he tells her he thinks she still loves him. Then, just a short while later, Porsha is seen greeting her new fiancé.
“Hi, boo!” she declares.
Earlier this year, just weeks after Simon announced the end of his marriage to Falynn Guobadia, who was featured on the most recent season of RHOA as a “friend,” he and Porsha confirmed their engagement.
Understandably, Porsha’s announcement caused quite the stir amongst her family members, who she told cameras have been pulled “into [her] personal sh-t.”
“I’m his fourth wife,” Porsha tells her family during a group meal.
“Oh my Lord,” one person replies.
During a couple of other scenes, one person is seen asking Porsha why Simon’s three previous marriages didn’t work as another said they “had to find out about Simon on TV.”
“How you engaged to a married man?” a third woman asks Dennis.
As Porsha’s family members wonder how she became engaged so soon into her relationship with Simon, Porsha admits to the cameras, “The optics don’t look great.” But she also notes that the outlook is due to their lack of facts.
Amid the speculation into Porsha’s romance with Simon, questions are raised about her potential reunion with Dennis.
“Is Dennis and Porsha really done?” one of her female family members asks.
While Porsha doesn’t give any indicators suggesting that she’d be open to such a thing, Dennis cryptically tells cameras, “Things are never over with the baby mother.”
As Dennis considers his future with Porsha, Simon seems to become more territorial with his leading lady and says, “I’m always going to stand my ground.”
“There’s no other man that’s gonna speak over me,” he says to Porsha during a private conversation.
Then, after Dennis seemingly shades Simon for acting like “Mr. Tough Guy,” Simon puts his foot down.
“[You] need to stay the f-ck out of our business,” he tells someone who’s off-screen.
As the trailer comes to an end, a massive brawl breaks out at a group event. And as glasses hit the ground, Porsha is seen sobbing as she lays in Simon’s lap with another woman hovering over her.
Porsha’s Family Matters premieres on Sunday, November 28, at 9/8c on Bravo.
