RHOSLC's Lisa Barlow Reveals Meredith Had a "Panic Attack" Before Zion Dinner as Meredith Reacts to Jen Shah Labeling Her a "Fraud"

Lisa Barlow claims Meredith Marks was a wreck before her dramatic dinner encounter with Jen Shah during their girls’ trip to Zion.

After last week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Lisa reflected on Meredith and Jen’s feud while also sharing details about what happened before they ended up in a screaming match with one another as the rest of the ladies looked on.

“I knew Meredith was having extreme anxiety before going into the dinner. She’s like, ‘I’m having a panic attack,’” Lisa recalled on the January 16 episode of the RHOSLC: After Show. “And I think she knew that this was the night things were going to come to a head.”

According to Lisa, she was surprised by how much Meredith knew, and discussed, in Vail. However, because Meredith was her friend “for 10 years,” she wanted to protect her while also hoping for resolution amongst the group.

“[Meredith]’s having extreme anxiety. I want to protect her but I also want to like, ‘Let’s get down to this. There’s a lot of stuff that’s been said. Let’s just say it all,'” she explained.

While Jen was also well-aware of Meredith’s tense demeanor, she said it’s always hard to know what she’s upset about because “she doesn’t talk about it.” Still, when the two of them came face-to-face for the first time following her “aha moment” with Heather Gay, during which she wondered, “Did Meredith call the feds?” Jen felt it was important to confront Meredith about her possible involvement with the “bullsh-t allegations against” her.

“She’s like, ‘Oh do you really want to go there?’ And I was like, ‘Absolutely. Yes, I want to go there. For once in your life Meredith, please go there,’” Jen revealed.

Looking back, Meredith said her “favorite moment” was “Mary’s expression as she’s like basically under Jen’s armpit” before criticizing her castmates for their “irrational attack.”

“Everyone’s questioning me about why I wasn’t in the Sprinter van. And then it rolls into Jennie spewing all these things she’s spewing as facts at me. Why are these women just coming after me and looking for some trouble?” Meredith wondered, noting that her castmates “know I didn’t turn Jen in.”

“Everyone knew it was public information that this had gone on for nearly a decade, the investigation. How could I be responsible?” she asked.

While Meredith said amid the RHOSLC: After Show that she didn’t turn Jen in, she played coy about the matter throughout the season, which is why Jen labeled her a “fraud.”

“I’m calling you fraud. Miss Hire a Private Investigator,” she stated. “I don’t give a sh-t. I just want to know, are you trying to hurt my family? Because that is beyond messed up. Don’t do that when this is a real thing.”

But Meredith sees the irony.

“Jen, who was actually indicted for fraud, calls me fraud and I’m like, ‘Are you out of your mind?’” Meredith wondered. “I’m not pointing fingers at you. I’m not calling you a fraud and you’re actually under indictment for it but you want to call me a fraud? Oh no.”

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season two airs Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo.
