RHONJ's Dolores Catania Accuses Luis of Deflecting as Margaret Questions Relationship With Ex and Jackie Slams Teresa's Logic and "Vile" Behavior

Dolores Catania and The Real Housewives of New Jersey were taken aback by Luis Ruelas‘ statements regarding the ex he was accused of assaulting.

Following last week’s episode of the Bravo reality show, Dolores admitted it felt as if Luis was deflecting as Tiki Barber and other members of the cast questioned him about the allegations as Margaret Josephs raised concern and the househusbands weighed in.

“He was doing the Hector Deflector,” Dolores noted on the March 16 episode of the RHONJ: After Show.

As Dolores took note of Luis’ alleged deflection, Margaret wondered why he would get involved with someone if he truly felt so poorly about her.

“He said the woman stabbed her ex-husband with a butcher knife. So if she stabbed her ex-husband with a butcher knife, why are you with her?” Margaret asked. “Number two: He was trying to throw it off like just basically discrediting her trying to say she’s a bad person, she stabbed her ex-husband with a butcher knife.”

Dolores’ ex-husband, Frank Catania, and co-star Joe Gorga echoed similar statements.

“I’m like, ‘Luis, I don’t know about you, but that’s a sign for me to run. Why the hell you sticking around? You’ll be the next one to get it,’” Frank noted.

“If I was dating you and I heard that… I’m out. See ya,” said Joe.

But, as per the usual, Teresa didn’t “give a sh-t about Luis’ past.”

Also on the RHONJ: After Show, Jackie Goldschneider was asked if Teresa’s condemnation of Margaret’s affair reveal about Bill Aydin made sense in comparison to things she and Jennifer had done in the past.

“The answer is no,” Jackie replied.

As fans will recall, Teresa spread a false rumor during season 11 in which she suggested Jackie’s husband, Evan Goldschneider, had been unfaithful. Then, at the start of season 12, Jennifer admitted to asking Frank about the potential woman.

“Teresa’s logic is totally… it makes absolutely no sense. She’s just trying to make what she did last year, which was so vile, seem okay. And anything she can say to make Margaret the bad guy and make her and Jennifer in the clear Teresa will say it, whether it makes sense or not,” Jackie continued. “She thinks if she yells it enough, or she says it forcefully enough, that it’s going to make it true.”

Regarding the same topic, Margaret said the two scenarios were much different as she was speaking facts while Teresa was sharing a false report.

“The whole point was one happens to be a rumor and one happens to be a fact,” Margaret stated. “Some people in this friend group don’t know how to do comparisons and or analogies because they compare things that aren’t even in the same realm, and that’s the difference.”
