Teddi Mellencamp on Bad Experience Filming RHOBH Season 12 and Why She'll Never Be Part-Time, Plus Suggests LVP Caused Past Tension With Erika

Teddi Mellencamp had a bad experience filming a guest spot for the 12th season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

During Monday’s episode of her and Tamra Judge‘s podcast, for which Tamra was not present, Teddi looked back on her appearance at the opening of Kyle Richards‘ store in Palm Desert, California, where she interacted with a number of her former castmates as they filmed scenes.

“I was working for Extra and everybody treated me so terribly,” Teddi explained to her guests, Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna, and Erika Jayne, on the April 25 episode of Two T’s in a Pod. “It was the worst day of my life and I decided that I would never film with Housewives again.”

After confirming that she wasn’t referring to Kyle, Lisa, Erika, or newbie Diana Jenkins when she noted how terribly she was treated, Teddi said the incident led her to turn down additional guest spots at Harry Hamlin‘s party and Kyle’s finale event.

“You were gonna come to the Harry Hamlin party?” Lisa asked.

“If that wouldn’t have happened in the desert I would have,” Teddi reveals. “I didn’t like how I was treated at that party.”

Although Teddi refused to name names, she told her ex-co-stars that a number of the other women from the show complained to her about production.

“My least favorite thing about a housewife is a housewife that pretends that they hate to be a housewife. If you hate doing this so much… and why are you telling somebody that got fired? I don’t need to hear you venting about how much you hate your job,” Teddi said in response. “A couple of housewives were venting about how hungry they were. They wanted to go eat… That’s when I decided to start saying ‘No’ to any of my drop-ins and unless I was ever holding a diamond I wouldn’t go back because of that feeling.”

While Teddi is unwilling to return to RHOBH in anything but a full-time role, her former co-stars would like to see her come back.

“I wish [Teddi was] there with us because it would have been so many times that I would have loved your clear voice and your clear perspective and I think that’s fair to say,” Erika stated.

“And your memory because I can’t remember sh-t,” Lisa added. “You remember everything that anyone says or does.”

According to Kyle, there have been many times when she and her co-stars have been filming, and said, “Damn, I wish Teddi was here.”

“She holds onto every little crumb where I let things go, which is why you need someone like Teddi,” Kyle explained.

“She does overanalyze sh-t,” Erika agreed.

Continuing on, Erika said she likes Teddi to be a part of the cast because she serves as a point of clarity.

“I remember last season at Kyle’s death Christmas party. I call it the Christmas execution party that I walked into, I remember you being such a source of clarity and being like, ‘Hey, everybody in this room has had legal problems. You either are with her or you’re not.’ You were very clear, very concise. And I really appreciated [that],” Erika told Teddi. “That’s the kind of clear sh-t that we need.”

“I hate to hear you say [that you’d never return],” she added.

As RHOBH fans well know, Teddi and Erika didn’t exactly get off on the best foot when Teddi first joined the show. However, as they hinted, that may have been due to the influence of someone else.

“When I first met Erika, our issues were never an issue that we had, we just read each other’s energy wrong. And I was always like, ‘She doesn’t like me. What’s going on? What do I need to do, what do I need to fix?'” Teddi recalled.

“I also thought you had someone else in your ear that was swaying your opinion,” Erika replied.

And after Kyle confirmed that said person wasn’t in the room with them, Teddi appeared to give a nod to Lisa Vanderpump, who recently settled a lawsuit that accused her of selling a dog with worms to a client of Vanderpump Dogs.

“Could that person have worms?” Teddi asked.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 12 premieres on Wednesday, May 11, at 8/7c on Bravo.
