Fans may have seen the last of Gina Kirschenheiter and Dr. Jen Armstrong on The Real Housewives of Orange County — at least if Kelly Dodd is to be believed.
In a series of new posts shared on Instagram and Twitter, which came after Heather Dubrow seemingly confirmed her and Shannon Beador‘s returns to the series, Kelly is revealing what she knows about the casting of season 17 as Shannon and Emily Simpson also speak out about where they stand in terms of the upcoming episodes.
“Shannon called me and told Heather set up a lunch with all the girls,” Kelly wrote, according to a screenshot shared by the Real Housewives Franchise on Instagram.
According to Kelly, Heather is acting as if she’s a producer and “obviously thinks she’s running Bravo.”
“She only took a picture of Shannon because she knows Gina and Jen are gone. It was a lunch not filming,” Kelly explained of Heather’s Instagram Story earlier this week. “Why wouldn’t she post pictures of the other girls? She’s fake and knows Shannon is a [shoo] in .. just trying to set the record straight for you all.. obtw, she didn’t invite [Noella Bergener].”
But after seeing Kelly’s claim, Shannon made it clear that the source of Kelly’s information was not her.
“I never said I know who is coming back to RHOC and who isn’t because I DON’T KNOW,” Shannon confirmed, adding that she’s currently unsure of her own status with Bravo. “I don’t even know if I will be asked back. Those are the facts. And if Kelly did hear this, it wasn’t from me.”
Although Shannon claimed to know nothing about casting, Kelly went on to discuss Gina’s alleged exit from the show after a fan asked for her to comment on the report.
“It’s sad because she has [six] kids smashed in two bedrooms now it’s going to go down to [one] bed with [six] kids. I feel bad for the kids, they might have to move in with my lookalike [Britt] and hot daddy [Matt Kirschenheiter]!!”
Kelly even suggested that Gina would surely be dumped by her boyfriend, Travis Mullen, if she was truly axed from the series.
“Guaranteed that Travis dumps her!! Watch,” she stated.
Meanwhile, on Twitter, Kelly responded to Shannon’s denial of her RHOC casting news. She said that although she told fans that Shannon called her about Heather’s lunch date earlier this week, Shannon didn’t give her the information about casting.
“Just to set the record straight, [Shanon Beador] was NOT MY SOURCE ON THIS STORY!! SHANNON HAS NO IDEA WHAT’S GOING ON!! It’s funny [Heather Dubrow] seems to know A LOT!” Kelly tweeted.
Also on Instagram this week, after sharing a photo of herself in full glam and using the RHOC hashtag in her caption, Emily denied that she’s been fired from the series.
“Someone said [you’re] not coming back to RHOC season 17 … This better not be true,” a fan had written.
“It’s not true,” Emily replied.
The Real Housewives of Orange County was renewed for a 17th season by Bravo in May.
