Frank Catania was recently diagnosed with skin cancer. And while he’d never previously gone to his Real Housewives of New Jersey co-star, Dr. Bill Aydin, for medical help, he decided to do so for the “first time.”
During an interview last month, Frank confirmed his diagnosis before sharing his experience with Jennifer Aydin‘s husband, who performed an operation on his chest to remove the basal cell carcinoma.
“I just went to Bill. I was hoping. He just did a surgery on me,” Frank revealed on The Morning Toast podcast, via The Daily Dish, adding, “I had a little basal cell carcinoma, which he removed from my chest.”
Although fans have seen plenty of Frank and Bill’s friendship on RHONJ, as well as their bond with their fellow “Wolf Pack” members, including Joe Gorga, Evan Goldschneider, and Joe Benigno, Frank admitted he was a bit fearful going into surgery with his longtime co-star.
“‘Make sure I don’t hurt,'” Frank recalled of what he told Bill prior to the procedure.
Following the operation, Frank gushed over Bill’s professionalism, saying he was “incredible” at caring for him.
While Frank and Bill have remained close throughout their years together on RHONJ, the men did experience a bit of a hiccup amid season 12 after Jennifer claimed Bill told her that Frank knew Evan Goldschneider‘s alleged other woman. However, after Bill confirmed that Frank had simply said he knew of the person Evan was linked to and noted that in no way meant he was suggesting the supposed affair actually happened, they made amends.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 13 is currently in production and expected to premiere on Bravo later this year or in early 2023.
