Southern Charm's Thomas Ravenel Claims He's Being "Lied About" and "Attacked" Amid Kathryn Dennis Custody Drama, Confirms Passing of Dog With Sad Tribute

Thomas Ravenel shared a message about being “lied about” and “attacked” on Thursday amid his ongoing custody battle with ex-girlfriend Kathryn Dennis

Ahead of the latest episode of Southern Charm, Thomas took to his Twitter page, where he voiced his frustrations over the attacks he’s sustained while attempting to protect the two children he shares with Kathryn, 7-year-old Kensington, and 6-year-old Saint Julien.

“I take it as a badge of honor that I don’t give way to being hated, lied about, and attacked for fulfilling my most sacred and moral obligation: protecting my children!” Thomas tweeted on August 11, not naming Kathryn by name.

While appearing on the Side Piece with Melissa Pfeister podcast earlier this year, Kathryn opened up about losing custody of her children to Thomas.

“I get to see my kids every other weekend 9-7 supervised by someone who is appointed by the court. They type what [my kids] eat, writing what they say. They literally follow me to every room. I can’t even go to the bathroom to take my daughter to the bathroom,” she revealed.

According to Kathryn, she has to pay Thomas’ nanny $500 to drive their children between Aiken and Charleston, which is about a two-and-a-half-hour commute. As fans may know, Thomas also shares a younger son, two-year-old Jonathan Jackson Ravenel, with ex-fiancé Heather Mascoe, who he previously moved with to Aiken, South Carolina, where he owns a $1.8 million home.

Kathryn, who has been accused of using drugs in recent years, also claimed Thomas’ move to the area was “a big ploy,” which “he did immediately after he took the kids away from me. Literally, on the day I was supposed to have them and pick them up from school.”

In another post shared to his Twitter page this week, Thomas confirmed the devastating loss of his beloved dog.

“R.I.P Rufus. February 2022 — August 11, 2022,” Thomas wrote. “Had to put Rufus down today as he was suffering from seizures. He went everywhere with me for the last 6 months. He was always by my side. He was extremely loyal and loving towards me. I miss him dearly.”
