Melissa Gorga believes fans will experience déjà vu while watching the upcoming 13th season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

As her months-long feud with sister-in-law Teresa Giudice continues, Melissa confirmed she won’t be spending the holidays with the Giudices and shared how she feels their relationship will be impacted by the footage of the new season while also admitting there’ve been “inconsistencies” in their feud.

“Unfortunately, you’re gonna feel like it’s the beginning all over again,” Melissa told Us Weekly on December 7. “That’s what’s unfortunate about [season 13].”

Also unfortunate is that due to her feud with Teresa, she and her family won’t be spending the upcoming holidays with Teresa and her family, including her husband, Luis Ruelas, and her daughters. Instead, Melissa and husband Joe Gorga will be hosting Christmas Eve at their own home.

“There will be sprinkle cookies everywhere,” Melissa joked, giving a nod to Teresa’s diss of her cookie choice at a party years ago.

Regarding their future, Melissa said she’s not so sure that watching the show, which is expected to feature Teresa allegedly pushing a rumor claiming Melissa cheated on Joe, will do them any good.

“I always hope it’s gonna help and I truly do from all angles, but sometimes it doesn’t because we end up on that couch in the reunion wanting to go crazy,” Melissa noted.

And her RHONJ castmates seemed to agree, with Margaret Josephs saying, “Maybe,” and Joe Benigno saying, “I don’t know.”

“No matter how bad the fighting in the season is, it’s worse when you’re watching it back and all the social media fighting goes on,” added Jackie Goldschneider, who noted that she’s “100 percent” sure the show airing won’t help.

Then, when Melissa said season 13 is a “slow burn,” Margaret confessed that she never thought it was going to “explode the way that it did.”

“I’m excited,” Margaret continued. “It’s fine. You know what? I love when our season airs. I feel like the way the fans do, I’m excited. I can’t wait to see it again. I mean, not to relive every moment but I can’t wait.”

Even Jackie, who endured cheating rumors of her own years ago, is excited for the new episodes to begin airing.

“I had a great season, so I feel great. It wasn’t so messy for me,” she stated. “And even [my husband Evan Goldschneider] had a good season, so we’re both really excited about that.”

During another interview, Melissa spoke of the “inconsistencies” of her feud with Teresa as Joe reacted to Luis saying on the Namaste B$tches podcast that he felt Joe was a “good human being.”

“It’s very confusing,” Melissa admitted to Page Six on December 8. “There are a lot of ups and downs and a lot of inconsistencies, so we’re wondering as much as you are.”

As for Luis’ compliment, Joe said, “It’s real nice,” before suggesting, “That’s the problem.”

“I am a good guy. Too good!” he agreed.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 13 will premiere on Bravo sometime in early 2023.
