Erika Jayne’s company, EJ Global, reportedly spent over $130,000 on her now-estranged husband Thomas Girardi’s credit card in the months leading up to her November 2020 divorce filing.
Amid the many questions of her co-stars on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Erika is being accused of steep spending and receiving numerous “transfers” from Thomas’ law firm, Girardi Keese, by the trustee presiding over Thomas’ bankruptcy case.
According to court documents obtained by Radar Online on August 24, a list of purchases has been created as part of a 151-page filing pertaining to the case against Thomas that includes endless entries proving EJ Global received a ton of money from the firm.
While the list only includes purchases made in the year leading up to Thomas, who was recently disbarred, being forced into involuntary bankruptcy, many American Express transactions were noted.
In January, for example, EJ Global allegedly used more than $50,000 on the card. And, in March, the company used the American Express to spend thousands more. Then, just two months later, the card was used to make over 21 purchases, ranging in cost from $1.03 to $2,009.
News of EJ Global’s use of the American Express comes just days after the RHOBH cast member was accused of spending over $14 million on the credit card between 2008 and 2020. As a prior report explained, Erika is believed to have spent a total of $25 million from Thomas’ firm, $14 million of which was made through credit card charges on items, such as her glam team, her dance team, and magazine publications.
In response to the accusations, Erika released a statement of denial, via her attorney.
“[Erika] never had and does not have personal liability for any debts or obligations of EJ Global LLC, period,” her lawyer told Page Six, slamming the “malicious” allegations as a “reckless publicity grab.”
“None of the payments and no money whatsoever went to Erika. On behalf of Erika, we will seek all appropriate remedies against all responsible parties for claims such as these,” they added.
Following their split last year, Erika moved into a $9,500 per month rental in Los Angeles while Tom was spotted relocating from their $9.98 million Pasadena mansion to a senior living community months later following a dementia diagnosis.
