Teddi Mellencamp Wants a "Different Side" of Erika and Rinna on RHOBH & Thinks They 'Need Distance,' Admits Cast Not as Close Amid Dorit & Erika Feud, and Compares Heather Gay to LVP

Teddi Mellencamp and the Fox Force Five aren’t as close as they used to be — at least when it comes to their communication as a friend group.

During a recent podcast appearance, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum confirmed her status with her former castmates while criticizing Erika Jayne for her divorce prediction regarding Dorit Kemsley and Paul “PK” Kemsley, sharing her hopes for the 13th season, and dishing on the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast.

“Obviously [I’m closest to Kyle Richards], you know. And then Dorit I talk to quite often. And, I mean, I still talk to [Lisa Rinna]… Erika reached out to me during my last surgery and was, like, ‘Do you need me to take you? I’m here for you…’ But it’s been a little bit more distant,” Teddi admitted on the December 7 episode of the #NoFilter with Zack Peter podcast.

According to Teddi, Erika’s comments about Dorit’s supposed marriage issues at BravoCon weren’t “the world’s best [things] to say.”

“I believe that maybe she was meaning for it to be a joke, but I mean, like, she walked up to the front of the stage, and like, she took her moment. She knew it was going to be a moment,” Teddi stated. “That’s why our group is not — the communication is not there as a group.”

“If she wanted to make a joke, it could’ve been about one of, you know — she could’ve been like ‘Lisa and [Harry Hamlin],’ to totally make it a joke,” Teddi added.

Looking ahead to season 13 of RHOBH, which is expected to begin filming in early 2023, Teddi said she hopes to see a different side of both Rinna and Erika.

“I would hope that if [Rinna] stays on and she’s there that we would see a little bit of a distance between her and Erika, so we can see them both as individuals,” Teddi revealed. “And then I think we can start to see different sides of both of them. I’m not saying they should have a falling out… You can be best friends, but there are moments where you can let that best friend speak for themselves.”

As for Jen Shah being booted from a BravoCon after-party, Teddi insisted she was “crashing.”

“You weren’t invited… I do know that she was there and I would say with 90 percent of my drunken-haze memory, she was asked to leave… But I was not standing there for that conversation,” Teddi explained.

Also during the interview, Teddi suggested Heather Gay was self-producing on RHOSLC and compared her to her own former castmate, Lisa Vanderpump.

“This isn’t throwing shade, I think Heather is the, you know, she’s the LVP of [RHOSLC] and she wants things to be her way, moving this direction, but you can see it’s starting to crack,” Teddi stated.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season three airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
