Following a season that was declared to be lacking in drama by some, the part-time cast member, who will be making an appearance during the upcoming special, suggested that certain members of the cast didn’t bring it in the way they should have during season eight.
“Something needs to give and certain girls, I feel, were holding back,” Camille confessed to ET Online
“I get it, Lisa didn’t want to get into the petty stuff this year, so her and Erika kinda tried to stay out of it,” she noted. “They were promoting a lot of their goods… Lisa’s dusters, and I love Lisa, I think she’s fantastic and funny, but we’ll call a spade a spade here. And Erika, I just felt like it was one giant infomercial for Erika Jayne! And as much as I like her and I respect her, and I think she’s very talented, you know, they held back.”
Series creator Andy Cohen is also teasing a “different” vibe for the upcoming reunion.
“It’s a different tenor,” Andy said while also speaking to ET Online. “The tone is different, it’s quieter, but they really got in there. They hash things out, and there’s reconciliation.”
Throughout the eighth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, there was a bit of a friendship “triangle” going on between Lisa Vanderpump, Kyle Richards, and Dorit Kemsley and during the reunion, fans will see more of their dynamic.
Although Lisa tries her best to stay neutral in the group, Andy teased a potentially combative situation involving her and the other women during the reunion.
“Lisa Vanderpump got involved in a way that surprised me,” he explained. “She kind of got her hands dirty and, you know, I saw her the next day and she said, ‘Were you surprised that I could fight like that?’ I said, ‘Yeah.’ Like, she stood up to Erika Jayne in a way that was surprising.”
“I thought she was great,” Andy says. “We’re always casting for these shows. The reason that the shows have stayed on is that we keep them fresh, we keep bringing people in, taking people out and so, you know, we keep tweaking with the group and I think that people respond to it.”
“Teddi was fantastic this year,” Camille added. “She was new, she was fresh, she’s young, she’s gorgeous. She’s swimming in a sea of sharks … but she really held her own, so I was very impressed with her.”
