Southern Charm's Thomas Ravenel and Kathryn Dennis Reach 50-50 Custody Agreement, Details Revealed as Thomas Gets Primary Custody of Their Two Kids

The messy custody battle between Thomas Ravenel and Kathryn Dennis has finally come to an end.

After a year filled with allegations of drug use and poor parenting thrown in each direction, the former Southern Charm couple has come to an agreement for their two kids, five-year-old daughter Kensington, and three-year-old son Saint Julien.

On November 1, All About the Tea shared court documents with readers, which confirmed that on Friday, Thomas and Kathryn agreed to share 50/50 custody of their children, with Thomas being granted primary custody.

According to the report, Thomas is required to consult with Kathryn on all major decisions for their kids, including decisions relating to their education, extra-curricular activities, religion, and healthcare, but when it comes to the final decision, Thomas has the authority to do whatever he feels is in his children’s best interest.

When it comes to child support, Thomas is not required to pay in the traditional sense but he does have to cover the expenses for a full-time nanny for Kathryn during her time with the kids. He is required to pay up to $1000 a week for Kathryn’s nanny with any money left from the $4000 a month going to Kathryn. Thomas is also responsible for covering health care costs for the kids while each parent will be responsible for after school child care costs when they have custody. Kathryn will also be allowed to claim the kids as her dependents on her taxes each year.

As per their court documents, Kathryn is scheduled to have her kids midweek and will also care for them every other weekend throughout the 2019/2020 school year. Then, after the school year is complete, she will have them from Thursday afternoon until the following Monday morning.

When spending time with their kids, Thomas and Kathryn are expected to keep their kids away from any inappropriate or violent conduct, including language, television programs, movies, or books, and to make sure they never see any episodes of Southern Charm.

They are also not allowed to talk poorly about one another with their kids present, or on social media.

During overnight visits, Thomas and Kathryn are not allowed to have any partners present, unless they are married.

As Southern Charm fans will recall, Kathryn lost custody of Kensington and Saint Julien in 2016 but was able to regain rights to the kids years later after she cleaned up her life and went to rehab. Then, in 2018, she filed for sole custody as Thomas was accused of numerous sexual assaults.

Thomas and Kathryn are required to attend at least 10 co-parenting classes and pay for their own attorneys’ fees.

Southern Charm season seven is expected to begin filming in January.
