Lisa Vanderpump Addresses Rumors of Vanderpump Rules Spinoff With OGs

Will Lisa Vanderpump soon split the Vanderpump Rules cast into two different shows?

As rumors continue to swirl in regard to a potential newbies show and an OG show, Lisa spoke out about the possibility at BravoCon while also teasing the upcoming episodes of season eight and sharing her thoughts on a spinoff based out of her animal rescue center, Vanderpump Dogs.

“I think we go one season at a time and see where that lands us,” Lisa told Entertainment Tonight about the possibility of two Pump Rules shows. “It’s been incredible, the support and how loyal people are to the show, and how exciting it is to see them take on new challenges and grow up. I don’t know. Who knew it would be on for eight years?”

“We have a great new season coming up. I know that for sure. There’s nothing slow about this season. You never have to worry because there’s so much happening with this group,” she continued.

Perhaps the most notable thing happening on season eight is the addition of five new cast members.

“It’s the people that are actually working there,” Lisa shared. “Most of everything they filmed was at SUR. That’s where it was based. [They] have a dynamic between themselves.”

During the upcoming episodes, fans will watch and see why a number of the series’ former friends, including Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute, and Jax Taylor and Tom Sandoval, are no longer on good terms.

Speaking of the drama, Lisa said things between her co-stars “went too far.”

“Things escalate with them and hopefully things can be repaired. But in some cases, maybe it is best to walk in the other direction,” she explained.

Ever since Lisa announced she was leaving her role on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, rumors have been swirling in regard to a number of different potential spinoffs, including a series based out of her new restaurant in Las Vegas, the Vanderpump Cocktail Garden. However, as she explained to Life & Style, her schedule is already quite full.

“My life is so crazy, going here and there. If I’m not designing something or something’s in construction, I’m kind of hopping around. I’m at SUR, I’m a the restaurants, I’m doing this, I’m doing that,” she explained. “I don’t know. Doing Vanderpump Rules documents my business life and sometimes my emotional, private life spills over into that but Beverly Hills used to document more my personal life and I struggled in my personal life last year. It just wasn’t a good feeling at all.”

Despite being extremely busy, Lisa added to the magazine that she is open to the possibility of launching a Vanderpump Dogs show.

“Listen, if they did make a show, hypothetically, or if they are, or if they will, whatever, as I said I’m not allowed to comment on that, but it would be a wonderful story because I think a lot of people realize that these little furry guys are an incredible part of our life and there’s a lot of stories around them,” she shared.

Vanderpump Rules season eight premieres January 7 at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV.
