Jen Shah might have a little explaining to do after she was allegedly caught berating her reunion dress designer in a leaked audio recording.
As it turns out, Jen may truly exhibit the same explosive behavior both on and off-camera after all. Throughout her first season on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, viewers watched a quick-tempered Jen lash out at her co-stars, and her behavior was discussed at the reunion. However, she broke down in tears after she was accused of exhibiting aggressive behavior and seemingly claimed it was racially insensitive for her cast members to even insinuate that she’s aggressive.
“Everyone went in on me and I was devastated,” she explained to host Andy Cohen in reference to the ladies’ visit with a hypnotist where she felt silenced when she was asked to apologize to her castmates. “Telling a woman of color not to talk, and calling us words like ‘aggressive’ is dangerous. I didn’t even want to go there, but it was hurtful.”
It seems that the RHOSLC women aren’t the only people Jen gets a bit fiery with as she can allegedly be heard screaming and cursing at a fashion designer, Koa Johnson, because he was behind schedule in a recently leaked audio recording. Koa designed Jen’s reunion gown, but if the audio is authentic, it appears the two had a few hiccups along the way.
“Honestly, Koa, this is insane! You need 20 more people? Like how many more people do you need to do one f*cking thing? One thing,” she can allegedly be heard screaming as the designer attempts to explain that he needs more time and help. “Then f*ck it, I’m not wearing JXA, Send everybody home, I’m not wearing JXA!”
Then, at one point in the recording shared by realityvontease2 on Instagram, she allegedly threatens Koa with violence before accusing him of lying, which seemingly leaves him speechless.
“I’m like ready to f*ckin – you know we’re gonna put on boxing gloves and I’m gonna beat the sh*t out of you in like two seconds. That’s how p*ssed off, hurt, upset I am,” the voice yells.
The screaming continues with, “Do you know how many f*cking nights you were at my f*cking house and I was up at night because of your f*cking b*llsh*t? Do you, Do you?! Okay, guess what… do I blame you and say it’s your fault? ‘Hey Bravo, it’s Koa’s fault, it’s his fault!’ No, it’s my fault! So own your f*cking sh*t!”
Jen then allegedly insults him further by claiming nobody wants to be with a liar and by mentioning the designer’s parents.
“How old are you, huh? How f*cking old are you,” the voice asks. “It’s acceptable where you came from? Your parents taught you how to f*cking lie? You think anybody wants to be with a f*cking liar. This is going to affect you for the rest of your life, your f*cking reputation, your credibility, everything! How f*cking dare you do this to me!?”
Ahead of the reunion, Jen admitted in an interview that her gown almost didn’t make it to the taping, but everything worked out at the very last minute.
“Koa was running to the airport to hand me the gown when I was getting on the plane, because there’s little tweaks along the way,” she told Page Six in February. “[With] a custom gown, there’s hundreds and hundreds of hours … every little sequin, every little feather is sewn on, and it’s very, very intensive.”
The second season of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is currently filming and should return later this year or in early 2022.
