Andy Cohen finally breaks his silence on Jen Shah‘s arrest as new leaked audio of Jen slamming her co-stars emerges.
Though Bravo has yet to release an official statement since the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star was arrested and charged with wire fraud and money laundering last week, Andy finally addressed the matter on Monday during his radio show. However, it was only after a caller asked the host to share his thoughts.
“Oy vey! I’m waiting to see how it plays out,” he said according to E! News. “I have nothing to add to what we already know, other than I certainly hope and pray that none of it is true.”
Jen, along with her “first assistant,” Stuart Smith, has been accused of running a nationwide telemarketing scheme that defrauded thousands of vulnerable victims over a nine-year period. Nevertheless, during their latest hearing, which was held on April 2, she and Stuart both plead not guilty to the charges against them. Jen’s attorney subsequently issued a statement.
“Jennifer Shah is a wife, mother, and lifelong resident of the Salt Lake City area,” the attorney’s statement reads. “She maintains her innocence of these charges, and is eager to defend herself in a court of law. She puts her faith in the American legal system. Because of the ongoing legal proceedings, we ask that you respect her privacy, and understand she will not provide any further comments.”
Jen’s counsel may have requested privacy, but the reality star continues to post glam shots on social media. She has also shared multiple posts from the “Free Jen” campaign to her Instagram Stories.
Unfortunately for Jen, she likely has a love-hate relationship with the social media platform after leaked audio and video of her berating her former employees was leaked on Instagram earlier this year. Now, following her arrest, more audio clips have been shared by realityvontease2, but this time, she can allegedly be heard stating she’s the ONLY minority on RHOSLC.
“That’s what I’ve dealt with all season from a lot of these ladies,” the female voice says while seemingly speaking on the phone with someone. “It hurts my feelings because I’m just like, ‘Wow, okay! Here we go, another one.’ But yeah… they just — I’m the only minority on the show. Mary [Cosby] doesn’t even count because Mary thinks she’s white. But they all just came for me, which it’s fine because I’m gonna be myself. And you know what, people like that because I’m real and they know that I’m the only one on the show who has the biggest heart too.”
Furthermore, she can also allegedly be heard calling Heather Gay a liar and stating she’s ready to “bust her sh*t wide open” before claiming the entire cast is “racist as f*ck.”
The same account also shared a screenshot of an alleged private conversation Jen had with an anonymous person via Instagram. In the screenshot, Jen slams both Meredith Marks and her son, Brooks Marks, which she denied doing at the season one reunion.
“B*tch lyinnngggggggg for a storyline,” she allegedly wrote, adding, “Brooks… sit down b*tch and drink this Dasani water.”
Jen then seemingly went on to accuse Meredith of sleeping with other men while the jewelry designer was separated from her husband, Seth Marks.
“Brooks…don’t talk about other [people’s] vaginas before your [mama’s] vagina starts talking about who the f*ck [is] seeing her vagina. Boy don’t play with me,” the DM reads.
The judge in Jen’s alleged fraud case has agreed to allow the reality star to remain free on a $1 million recognizance bond, but if she’s convicted of both charges, she’s facing up to 50 years in federal prison. The trial date has been set for October.
