Melissa Gorga and her husband Joe Gorga have moved into a $950,000 home in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey as they attempt to sell three of their other properties in The Garden State.
Following news of the impending sale of their $2.9 million Toms River home, it has been revealed that the Real Housewives of New Jersey couple, who sold their longtime family home in December 2020 for $2.5 million, also have two other homes on the market, including a $540,000 home in the same community and a $525,000 townhouse in Paterson.
“Melissa and Joe have had a shore home since they were married and are ready to make a move,” a rep for the couple told The Post on September 17. “They are currently looking at property in the Hamptons and are planning to spend their summer’s there in the future.”
News of Melissa and Joe’s listings comes just months after their former real estate agent, Michelle Pais, accused Joe of owing her husband tens of thousands of dollars, which both Melissa and Joe denied.
As Melissa and Joe set their sights on the Hamptons, they are trying to sell their three-bedroom, two-bathroom Toms River home, which they purchased in 2005 for $450,000, for $540,000.
Melissa and Joe first tried to sell the smaller of their two Toms River homes in 2011 for $520,000. However, because they had taken out loans against the property, they owed $1.5 million and struggled to unload it. Then, after attempting to rent out the home for profit, they resisted the residence this past May for $650,000.
While the home boasts over 4,700 square feet, the interior is outdated.
Melissa and Joe are also in the process of selling the larger of their two Toms River homes, a seven-bedroom, five-bathroom property, which they purchased in 2019 for $975,00 and listed on September 7 for $2.9 million following an extensive renovation project.
The third property the RHONJ couple has on the market is a townhouse.
According to the Post, Melissa and Joe bought a lot in Paterson in 2018 for $149,000, flipped the property after rendering the design seen below, and listed for $525,000 in August.
As for Melissa and Joe’s current residence, the couple is said to be in the midst of construction on a home they purchased in June for $950,000. Although it is unclear when the project will be complete, it is expected to have six bedrooms and three bathrooms.
Following the purchase of Melissa and Joe’s new home, the couple took out a $500,000 loan for renovations, bringing their total costs to $1.44 million.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 12 is expected to premiere on Bravo sometime later this year or early next year.
