While promoting her new podcast with husband Rick Leventhal, the Real Housewives of Orange County alum slammed Erika as a “liar” and a “fraud” while taking aim at the way she handled the embezzlement claims against her and her estranged husband, Thomas Girardi, and looking back at the rumors she heard about the two of them.
“I think she is an absolute liar, 100 perfect. A liar, and a fraud and a fake. You see it on the show, they catch her in so many lies. She’s not a truthful, upfront person,” Kelly told Us Weekly of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star on October 1.
According to the ex-RHOC star, who was fired from the show in June, Erika handled the legal scandal she was faced with in late 2020 horribly.
“She should have done things that were proactive that were like, ‘I feel remorse. I feel bad for these people. I shouldn’t have spent the money that I spent and I’m going to give back and here is how I’m going to do it.’ That’s what she should’ve done, instead of posting naked pictures of herself everywhere on Instagram. Have some kind of remorse,” Kelly advised.
In recent weeks, a number of housewives and Andy Cohen have come forward to confirm that they had heard rumors about Thomas’ allegedly dire financial situation. And when it comes to Kelly’s past experiences, she said she heard it all.
“I heard all of that. I have a lot of friends in L.A. that know them and you hear rumors,” she explained.
However, because she too has been dealt with her fair share of rumors, she took the claims with a grain of salt.
“[I heard] that he owed people money, that he was a crook, he was a swindler [and] how she’s fake and she’s a b-tch and she was using him for all this money,” Kelly recalled. “You would hear all this kinds of stuff, but you hear all these kinds of things about me. People are jealous. So that’s what I took it as. Like, people are jealous of Erika Jayne.”
“I didn’t think anything of it,” she added.
Erika and Thomas are accused of stealing millions from his former clients, including orphans and widows of plane crash victims, and of allegedly attempting to hide the stolen funds in Erika’s business accounts. She is currently facing a $25 million lawsuit, which demands she return the fraudulent transfers.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 11 is currently airing Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
