Madison LeCroy is engaged!

Nearly one year after the Southern Charm star called it quits with her on-again, off-again boyfriend and co-star, Austen Kroll, Madison, 31, is preparing to walk down the aisle with boyfriend Brett Randle, 35.

Earlier today, Madison announced her engagement during an Amazon Live event. During an interview, she dished on how Brett popped the question on Friday after he took her and her 8-year-old son Hudson, whom she shares with her ex-husband, out for a birthday celebration in a limo ride.

“I honestly was not expecting it that day,” said Madison to PEOPLE. “We traveled a lot this summer and I kind of thought it was going to happen around then.”

She continued, “The next thing you know we come back home and I’m thinking it’s just a birthday dinner, and my son’s over here jumping around and I turn around and my fiancé is down on one knee and proposed to me in my living room. It was so intimate. I’ve been crying like crazy from joy. [I’m] so excited.”

Madison adds that Brett sat on the ring for a couple of months and didn’t propose until he asked both her father and son for her hand. “When he asked my son if he could propose my son said, ‘Yeah as long as I’m a part of the proposal.’ It was very sweet. Hudson goes, ‘My mom, I know she’d love a limo. So let’s get her a limo and take her out to dinner for her belated birthday,'” shared Madison.

As Southern Charm fans may recall, Madison first revealed she had a new boyfriend in April after being blamed for the end of Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez‘s engagement following claims she was involved with him… claims which she mostly denied. Then, two months later, she and Brett made their romance Instagram official.

A short time later, during an interview with Us Weekly, Madison revealed how she and Brett met.

“A little over two months ago I was visiting Scottsdale, Arizona, with a bunch of my girlfriends for a Bachelorette party. He was there for a friend’s birthday party,” Madison told the magazine in June. “I did not know him at this time, but I go into this bar and we immediately lock eyes from across the room. It was, like, instant. And I mean you really can’t miss him. … He’s absolutely stunning.”

After Brett, who’s based in California, proceeded to visit her in Charleston to take her out on an official date, Madison said she “fell in love instantly.”

“This is definitely the most grown-up relationship that I’ve ever been in and it comes with a level of respect on both sides and he’s actually a man. He’s 35 so yeah, he has his sh-t together and is very respectful,” she gushed.

Just weeks ago, during another chat with Us Weekly, Madison confirmed her ex Austen has yet to meet her new beau.

“He’s never met my boyfriend and I don’t think that would go over well,” she suspected.

According to TMZ, Madison and Brett’s relationship will be featured for the eighth season of Southern Charm.
