Madison LeCroy is speaking out after being discussed by Austen Kroll in the Winter House trailer.

Nearly a year after she and Austen called it quits after months of turmoil, the Southern Charm cast member reacted to her ex-boyfriend’s love triangle with Summer House’s Lindsay Hubbard and Ciara Miller, and she said that while the two of them are in a better place, Austen will likely react badly to meeting her new boyfriend amid filming on season eight.

“When I first saw the trailer for Winter House, I actually called him and he was like, ‘I can’t talk about this right now.’ And I said, ‘No, I actually was calling to tell you, like, good for you,’” Madison told Us Weekly on September 29. “‘Like, you look like the GOAT here. I mean, all these girls are fighting over you.'”

According to Madison, she believed Austen’s girl drama would serve as a much-needed boost for his confidence.

“I was, like, ‘You’ve been insecure before in the past. So this should like boost your confidence through the roof and good. I’m happy for you,’” she explained.

In a sneak peek at Winter House, Austen was seen telling Craig Conover, “Madison texted me and she goes, ‘Please tell me that you haven’t moved on.’”

When Madison announced her split from Austen in December 2020, she said the COVID-19 pandemic definitely played a role in their decision to part ways.

“Unfortunately, we did not come out stronger,” she noted. “I think we both realized that maybe there was just too many things that had happened in the past for us to actually play house for 14 days or whatever it was.”

Following their split, Madison was briefly linked to Jay Cutler after Austen formed a close bond with Kristin Cavallari, Jay’s ex-wife. Madison was also linked to Alex Rodriguez, who split from ex-fiancée Jennifer Lopez amid the rumors, and she wound up back with her former fiancé, Ben Affleck.

Despite the trickle effect that Madison and Austen’s split caused, she currently considers Austen “a friend” and hopes they’ll stay that way throughout season eight.

“I actually haven’t filmed with him yet. But we’ve seen each other out, obviously, Charleston is very small, so we are going to run into each other and we do have a lot of mutual friends,” she said. “I just gotta let it go. And so does he. I think that I personally am handling it a little bit better than he is. Hopefully, it stays that way.”

Unfortunately, Madison worries Austen will respond badly to her new relationship.

“[Austen] says it doesn’t bother him, but you know, he’s never met him or anything,” she shared. “He’s never met my boyfriend and I don’t think that would go over well.”

Filming on Southern Charm season eight began earlier this month in Charleston, South Carolina.
