Shannon Beador was a featured guest alongside Eboni K. Williams on Wednesday night’s Watch What Happens Live, and during the show, she spoke about the upcoming Real Housewives of Orange County reunion special, which was filmed earlier this month in Los Angeles.
Before looking back at her recent run-in with former bestie Vicki Gunvalson and dishing on the connection she never thought she’d make with newbie Noella Bergener, Shannon was asked if Heather Dubrow‘s sharing of David Beador’s email about wanting to move out was the same as her discussing Nicole James‘ lawsuit against Terry Dubrow.
“They are very different circumstances and you can tune into the reunion because we delve into that,” Shannon confirmed on the March 16 episode of WWHL.
“I got heated. I’m not going to lie, a few times. In fact, my voice was hoarse,” she explained of the taping.
While Vicki recently suggested that she and Shannon had reconciled following a years-long feud, Shannon told a different story when a fan posed the question during Wednesday’s show.
“We ran into her at a restaurant so it was, ‘Hello,’ ‘How are you,’ ‘I’m doing okay.’ She was with a new man and she’s happy. So I wish happiness to everyone,” Shannon noted, then adding, “There have been a lot of not nice things said… It’s sad because I had really great friendships with both she and Tamra so it’s just sad all the way around.”
In addition to being upset by things Vicki has said, Shannon revealed she’s also upset with Tamra, saying that her former castmate lied when she suggested she quit speaking to her once she announced her exit from RHOC.
“It is not true and I have text messages to show that I just chose not to engage in the public. I absolutely was there,” Shannon insisted.
As for her on-screen drama, Shannon said she was “absolutely” surprised by her encounter with Gina Kirschenheiter on the latest episode of RHOC.
“I called her aside to resolve things and I said, ‘Can we just work through things?’ And it just keeps escalating,” Shannon shared amid allegations of jealousy over both Gina’s business and friendship with Heather.
While last night’s show also included quite the lengthy conversation about brain scan treatment, courtesy of Dr. Jen Armstrong, Shannon said that while it was “a little long,” she appreciated parts of Jen’s presentation.
“I got very emotional at the end to hear the story about her father and why she was doing all this,” Shannon admitted.
Also speaking of Jen, Shannon noted that her call to Noella about her behavior prior to their cast meeting wasn’t the best idea.
“I think I might have vocalized something about this at the reunion, is that you have to understand, right before you’re getting ready for a party, it’s kind of like a slap in the face,” she explained. “So you can be hurt by that.”
Although Shannon has faced allegations of jealousy on a number of occasions throughout the 16th season of RHOC, she told Andy Cohen that it was Emily Simpson who is the jealous one — and claimed she admitted to being just that.
“Absolutely. I do,” Shannon confirmed of her jealousy suspicions about Emily. “I think there’s some deflection there. And she did admit at the dinner with Jen and I and Emily that she was, there was part of her that was jealous.”
As she feuded with several of her co-stars, Shannon formed an unexpected friendship with Noella, who split from James Bergener last year.
“I never thought, by the way, that we would. But we have similar interests in holistic lifestyles. And I have to tell you, right at the get-go, at Heather’s party, I had one person standing next to me and it was Noella,” Shannon noted. “And she didn’t even know me. And I appreciated that support.”
Also during Wednesday’s WWHL, Shannon said that when it comes to yelling, “Bravo, Bravo, Bravo,” amid production as Denise Richards did on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the phrase doesn’t always stop production as it’s believed to do.
“I know that it doesn’t work,” she explained.
As for how she gets herself out of filming, Shannon recalled, “I might have yanked my mic off a few times.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County season 16 airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
