Dorinda Medley tells all about her time filming the Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip.

As fans await news on the highly-anticipated premiere of the Peacock series’ second season, the Real Housewives of New York City alum admitted to being dealt with some surprises amid production, including the length of the ladies’ stay at her Berkshires home, Bluestone Manor, and offers an update on her relationship with Brandi Glanville.

“I was surprised who I bonded with and surprised who I had friction with,” Dorinda admitted to Reality Blurb on March 22.

According to Dorinda, she initially agreed to host her castmates, who included Brandi, Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Judge, Eva Marcille, Phaedra Parks, Taylor Armstrong, and Jill Zarin, at Bluestone Manor for four days. However, due to COVID-19 restrictions, production was unable to find a second location, and ultimately, the ladies remained in Dorinda’s home for eight days.

“When it was first presented to me I’m like, ‘Oh my God that sounds great. Why not?’ But not thinking it through and originally it was only going to be four days, but because of COVID, they couldn’t find another place so they switched it to eight days … It’s wild,” Dorinda shared.

Not only was the show wild due to the cast encounters that took place, it also posed additional challenges to the members of the cast because they were suddenly surrounded by strong women after being isolated from large groups for so long.

“We’d been in this pandemic for a long time. I’d been up at Bluestone manor… sort of isolated,” Dorinda recalled. “And I’ve never had eight people in my house for eight days ever. So combine post-pandemic to eight women that I… I’m close to Jill and I’m close to Brandi and Tamra, I know them, but the other girls I really didn’t know. So imagine.. You’re like, ‘Wait a second.’”

Understandably, not all of the ladies got along. And, when it came to Dorinda’s experiences with the women, not all was as expected.

“It’s really interesting, and I got very close to people I didn’t think I’d get very close to or didn’t know I’d be close to, and all of the sudden I find this incredible bond with certain girls and then other people you found that were not of like minds. So it’s interesting to watch that process,” she teased.

As she continued to look back at her time filming with the women last year, Dorinda admitted that when it comes to her beloved Berkshires mansion, the property deserves all the respect.

“I love BlueStone Manor so much and I’m so sensitive… BlueStone Manor to me is a living breathing character. You gotta honor that sh-t otherwise I get very upset,” she declared. “There’s rules of the manor. There’s a way I run my house. I hold that very tight to my heart. There’s no disrespecting BlueStone Manor or the lady of the manor.”

Although fans will have to wait and see if anyone in particular disrespected Dorinda’s home, the RHONY alum was involved in a public tiff with Brandi earlier this year after the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member made a couple of inappropriate statements on her podcast in reference to the deceased husbands of Dorinda, Jill, and Taylor.

“I called it ‘Dead Stone Manor.’ All we did was talk about death… There’s like three ex-husbands who were dead,” Brandi stated.

While many were put off by the comments, Dorinda included, the ladies are now on good terms.

“I didn’t like what she said on her podcast… Obviously for me and Taylor and Jill, that’s a sensitive topic and never to be joked about… But Brandi’s like a little sister. We fight, we get back along, we fight… I’m a forgiver at the end of the day.”
