Kyle Richards revealed why she hasn’t yet spoken out against Lisa Rinna for her many social media attacks against her sister, Kathy Hilton, on Wednesday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live.
After a fan pointed out that she was quite vocal about Garcelle Beauvais‘ claims of being closer to Kathy and wondered if Lisa’s public feud with Kathy was “worse,” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member said the matters were “two different things.”
“Garcelle coming out here and saying she’s closer with Kathy was honestly, even though I love Garcelle, that was ridiculous. But what Rinna’s talking about is stuff that’s happened on the show,” Kyle explained on the June 15 episode of WWHL. “It’s a very complicated situation and not a good situation for me to be in..”
Although Kyle has spoken to Lisa and Kathy privately, she said fans are going to have to “wait and see what airs on the show.”
“I’m not looking forward to this reunion,” she added.
During recent episodes of the show, Crystal Kung-Minkoff has remained on the outs with the majority of the cast, including Sutton Stracke, Garcelle, and Kyle. And while she received some unexpected support from Erika Jayne, Kyle told host Andy Cohen that Erika likely had ulterior motives for her empathy.
“I feel honestly that Erika was wanting to get back at Sutton for sure. She was loving that moment,” Kyle shared of Erika’s opportunity to get under her longtime nemesis‘ skin.
Kyle also addressed the recent reports regarding Erika’s inability to pay her taxes, noting that she doesn’t “get” why so many of her co-stars feel the need to travel with their glam teams.
“I didn’t hear about the taxes. That’s new stuff. But hey, what can I say, glam for some of these girls is very important,” Kyle reasoned. “For 12 years, I have never brought glam on a trip. I don’t do that. [But] for some of them that’s a priority. It’s not mine. I don’t get it.”
When Kyle was then asked about Crystal and her claims against Sutton, who allegedly made “dark” statements about their season 11 race discussion, Kyle said Crystal has been dishonest.
“She flat out lied,” Kyle proclaimed. “What happened was is that she’s a newbie and a rookie and she didn’t think that they would use the thing they call a ‘flashback’ so then when we showed the flashback, and it clearly wasn’t enough for her and the audience or whatever, she came on here and said, ‘Oh it’s actually worse than that.’ No actually. Guess what Crystal? They would have shown it because [Bravo] does us no favors as you know.”
And Andy agreed, saying, “Well that is true.”
As for Crystal’s suggestion that Kyle doesn’t know what “gaslighting” means, Kyle had another announcement to make.
“She sat there and told me three times, ‘You were too drunk. You don’t remember.’ I wasn’t even there when the conversation happened. If that’s not gaslighting, what is?” she asked.
Also during the episode, Andy rolled some old audition tapes of the RHOBH cast, one of which featured Kyle’s husband, Mauricio Umansky, describing her as “jealous,” a second that saw Kim Richards admitting to calling someone a “fat cow” for insulting niece Paris Hilton, and a third that saw Lisa Vanderpump recalling a time when she hired a stripper for a friend on his birthday.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 12 airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
