Meghan King filed for an order of protection against Jim Edmonds in June, claiming she was experiencing “frequent and consistent verbal abuse” from her former spouse both virtually and on their court-monitored co-parenting app, Our Family Wizard. But now, just months later, the order has been dropped.
According to a new report, the request of the Real Housewives of Orange County alum, who opened up about her relationship with Jim on Tamron Hall on Tuesday, has been removed.
Us Weekly confirmed the news with their readers on September 21, noting that Jim’s rep, Steve Honig, previously addressed Meghan’s claims of abuse in a statement.
“This request for an order of protection is completely baseless and furthermore makes an absolute mockery of the pain suffered by the millions of women in this country who are legitimate victims of abuse,” the rep stated.
Meghan and Jim, who were married from 2014 to 2019, share three children, including daughter Aspen, 5, and twins Hart and Hayes, 4.
In other Meghan King news, Meghan said she’s doing her best to focus on her kids amid her custody drama with Jim on the September 20 episode of Tamron Hall.
“I just have to compartmentalize my son and treating my son and getting him therapies that will benefit him with the co-parenting relationship,” Meghan explained of Hart, who was diagnosed with “irreversible brain damage” in 2019.
Then, after Tamron clarified that Jim didn’t want her to speak publicly about the child, Meghan noted that the idea was hypocritical, considering their history on reality television.
“Yeah, but he had no problem with that [being in the public eye] when we were on [RHOC]. So I mean, I think it’s kind of just convenient,” she stated.
Meghan then said that when it comes to her future relationships (she’s rumored to currently be dating Trusted Provider Network CEO Trevor Calhoun, a descendant of tractor-maker John Deere), she’ll be keeping them to herself.
“I’m done putting relationships on social media,” Meghan declared. “I don’t want to be defined by them. I think you know, you google my name and you see all these relationships… and I’m done with that. But, I think most of the time when I date, my life intimidates people.”
Following her split from Jim in 2019, Meghan married Cuffe Biden Owens in 2021. However, just two months later, they split and their marriage was annulled.
Meghan was featured on The Real Housewives of Orange County in a full-time role from season 10 through season 12.
