Garcelle Beauvais offered an update on her 14-year-old son, Jax Nilon, while appearing on Watch What Happens Live alongside her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills castmate Dorit Kemsley on Wednesday night.
Before doubling down on her past claim that Kathy Hilton is closer to her than sister Kyle Richards, addressing her public feud with Nicki Minaj, and revealing what she regrets regarding her season 12 interaction with Erika Jayne, Garcelle revealed if Erika ever apologized to Jax for yelling at him at her birthday party.
“She said she would, but Jax doesn’t want that, and I respect that,” Garcelle confirmed on the September 21 episode of the WWHL: After Show.
She also revealed on the live airing of WWHL that despite the hateful messages he’s received in recent weeks, Jax is “resilient” and doing “good.”
Then, after noting that she “didn’t care at all” that she was locked out of the store in Aspen and saying that when it comes to Kyle and Kathy’s tequila drama, Kathy simply “wanted validation” from her sister, Garcelle reignited her drama with Kyle by saying, yet again, that she’s closer to Kathy.
“You are shady… Yes. [But] I know Kyle did not like that,” Garcelle admitted.
“But you’re doubling down on it,” host Andy Cohen replied.
“Pretty much,” Garcelle confessed.
At that point, Dorit interjected, telling Garcelle, “She did not like it? Well, she’s not gonna like it now.”
“She’s not gonna like it now,” Garcelle agreed. “But hello… They’re not great right now, so yeah, I’m closer.”
Garcelle went on to say she felt Lisa Rinna was being hypocritical by acting so shaken by Kathy’s meltdown in Aspen after throwing wine glasses and trying to grab Kim Richards by the neck in Amsterdam. She also agreed that Erika “of course” had a right to be upset that everyone was so quick to condemn her behavior, but she appeared hesitant to discuss Kathy’s antics.
She then reacted to Nicki calling her out for interviewing the woman who accused her husband, Kenneth Petty, of rape.
“As a journalist… I was doing my job,” she explained.
Also during the WWHL episode, Garcelle admitted to wishing she’d been harder on Erika when it came to her treatment of 14-year-old son Jax. After being asked if she wished she’d said more about Erika hitting on her older son, Oliver Saunders, Garcelle noted that he wasn’t her main concern.
“Oliver’s a grownup. He can handle himself. But I wish I was harder on her about the Jax thing… It’s one thing to know she did that and it was another thing to watch it back. That’s when I got angry,” Garcelle shared.
