Peter Madrigal is confirming what has been reported for weeks: Tom Schwartz hooked up with Raquel Leviss during Scheana Shay and Brock Davies‘ wedding trip to Mexico.
Ahead of the highly-anticipated 10th season of Vanderpump Rules, which is expected to chronicle both Tom’s divorce from Katie Maloney and alleged romance with Raquel, Peter shared new details about Tom and Raquel, who he went on a “few” dates with in July.
“I don’t know [who instigated it] because I went to bed,” Peter told Us Weekly on September 29. “Everyone was all like, ‘It was at the first night in Cabo…’ [But] I went to bed.”
“I wasn’t shocked [by it] because, by that point, I’m just like, ‘We’re all single and who cares?‘” Peter continued, noting that season 10 will be “fantastic.”
“It’s going to be must-watch TV, let’s put it that way. There’s a lot of rumors out there about certain people dating other people,” he teased. “It’s going to be very intriguing and you’ll have to watch to really get the full gist of the whole thing.”
Back in August, after the Pump Rules cast traveled to Mexico to attend Scheana and Brock’s wedding, an insider told Us Weekly that Tom and Raquel had hooked up after “some heavy drinking,” noting that they had heard “through the grapevine” that “more happened” between them. And a short time later, another source told the outlet that Raquel, who split from former fiancé James Kennedy in late 2021, had “no regrets” about their rendezvous.
“Raquel is super close to Scheana, she and Katie aren’t close. If they were, she wouldn’t have hooked up with Tom. She has no regrets,” the insider stated. “Katie is the one who made the decision to divorce Tom. Whatever he does with another girl is none of her business, friends believe.”
Continuing on to Us Weekly, Peter said he has “no idea” what Tom is looking for post-divorce.
“I’m sure he’s looking for something though, but I don’t know, he might want to be taking a break. You never know. The man just got done with divorce. I think he needs a little bit of a time out,” Peter admitted.
But while Peter believes Tom should take some time off from dating, he made it clear that he’s Team Schwartz.
“I’ve always been really close with Tom Schwartz,” he said. “He’s one of my best friends, so I side with him.”
Vanderpump Rules season 10 is expected to begin airing on Bravo sometime later this year or early next year.
