In a couple of posts shared with her fans and followers, Taylor admitted that her heartache got the best of her during the taping, noting that she hadn’t seen or spoken to ex-boyfriend Shep Rose in the weeks leading up to filming, and offering an update on where the two of them stand today.
“I just wanted to take a moment,” Taylor began in her first October 13 Story. “Tonight’s episode was not an easy one to watch. Let me just say, those [five] minutes felt like an eternity. It was certainly not the greatest reflection of who I am or what I want to represent.”
“I was speaking out of a lot of heartache and completely lost my grounding while doing so,” she explained. “That day was one of the hardest days of filming; After not seeing or speaking to Shep for weeks and then having to hash out our entire relationship in front of our friends, family, and thousands of viewers; The emotions going through my head and entire body were certainly overwhelming.”
Continuing on in a second post shared to her Instagram Story, Taylor thanked her supporters.
“To the many people who have been reaching out to me, I want to say thank you for all the love and encouragement. I am so blessed to have the friends, family, and viewer support in my life as I am continuing to seek my roots, love as I have been loved, and ground myself to The Anchor that I know to be true,” she wrote.
Taylor, who has been spotted with Shep on occasion in the months since their July breakup, went on to admit that when it comes to their feelings post-split, she and Shep are both still struggling to move on.
“As far as Shep and I go; We are both still hurting and healing but I do wish him well,” she revealed. “As I did weeks ago when filming this episode, I will continue to love Shep unconditionally and pray for peace in his life that surpasses all understanding.”
“Blue skies ahead,” she added.
No word yet on whether or not Taylor will return to Southern Charm for a ninth season.
