Jim Edmonds is denying claims he stepped out with his nanny again.
After splitting from wife Meghan King Edmonds at the end of last month, the former baseball player fired back at allegations on Instagram, which suggested he had attended a Post Malone concert with one of his nannies, and seemingly hinted at a reconciliation with the Real Housewives of Orange County star.
In his post to his fans and followers, Jim confirmed the younger woman he was with was actually his 22-year-old daughter, Hayley Edmonds, before discussing his efforts to “repair” his relationships with Meghan and other family members.
“I took my first steps outside in a while last night with my beautiful daughter Hayley. Trying to repair a broken life and heart that should not be broken. You all need to get a life! I have a wife, family and kids to worry about and that’s my only worry right now. Everyone else, BYE!” he wrote. “Thank you to all my friends for you continued support.”
Jim filed for divorce from Meghan last month, just one day after the two of them celebrated their five-year wedding anniversary. A short time later, rumors began circulating in regard to a potential romance between Jim and one of their nannies.
While the current caption of Jim’s Instagram post has no mention of his nanny, E! News revealed that Jim directly addressed the rumors about a date with nanny Carly Wilson before editing his post.
“For all you people out there that think that I would be with our nanny. You need to get a life! I have a family and kids to worry about and that’s my only worry right now,” Jim wrote in the since-altered caption, which didn’t mention wife Meghan.
In addition to his Instagram photo, Jim also posted an image of himself and Hayley on his Instagram Story.
“Daddy loves his little girl. Thank you for always being by my side,” he wrote in the photo’s caption.
As RHOC fans may recall, Hayley spoke out about the drama surrounding the end of Jim and Meghan’s marriage when she suggested that the majority of Jim’s family didn’t like his wife and accused her of loving conflict.
“I’m stoked that I can have my dad fully back and not have to tiptoe around [Meghan],” Hayley explained to Us Weekly. “Everyone that cares about him is proud that he finally took the leap of leaving her.”
In response to Hayley’s comments, Meghan told Us Weekly that she found her statements to be “sad” before revealing how much she’s helped Hayley over the past several years.
“I enrolled Hayley in school in St. Louis and she lived with us, and when she wanted to move back to California, I moved back with her,” Meghan shared. “She lived with me and I enrolled her in high school there… Jimmy has said in the past that the only reason she has her diploma is due to my efforts.”
