Kenya Moore offered an update on her relationship with her estranged husband Marc Daly during Sunday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live.
After being at odds over alimony and custody during the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kenya said she and Marc are doing “good” before admitting that she suspects Marc is “still in love” with her and discussing her custody filing for their two-year-old daughter, Brooklyn Doris Daly.
“As of today, good,” Kenya confirmed of their current status. “It does [change from day to day] because emotions are high.”
As RHOA fans well know, Kenya has never been through a divorce or separation, nor has she had to share custody of a child with someone.
“So all of these things are new for me. And, with Marc, I think he’s still in love,” she explained.
As for her own feelings, Kenya said she “still [has] love for Marc” but believes they are in a “very difficult place” as they attempt to navigate through their split while maintaining a healthy relationship for the sake of their daughter.
Kenya then noted that when it came to her custody filing, she felt that it was important for her to gain primary custody because Brooklyn lives with her in Georgia while Marc spends the majority of his time working in New York.
“I had to do what was best for Brooklyn right now because I am her primary custodial parent. So for me, I needed to file that action because I have to have certain rights,” she said.
Also during her appearance on WWHL, Kenya explained why she dropped the ball on her and Marc’s potential prenuptial agreement.
“I just think that I was in love and when he said he didn’t want one because it was forecasting where we would be, I agreed to it because a lot of the things that I owned, I had already owned outright before marriage. So I felt I was protected,” she shared.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 13 airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
