COVID-19 may have rocked Atlanta, but the ladies are still bringing the heat for season 13!
In the explosive trailer for the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, a lot goes down for the Georgia peaches — even when the cameras aren’t rolling.
In a first look from Bravo, the ladies are first seen discussing the reportedly wild night out for Cynthia’s bachelorette party — the wildness, which has been dubbed StripperGate, made the rounds in the press a few weeks back.
“What happens in the dungeon, stays in the dungeon,” says Kandi (possibly making a reference to those “sex dungeon” allegations from season nine) as a montage of the women in lingerie surrounded by toys and strippers plays.
“Turn off the cameras and we can actually have fun,” one woman suggests.
The coronavirus pandemic also plays an obvious part in the drama as Porsha hilariously states she will “quarantine a b–ch” and Cynthia and her now-husband Mike Hill plan for their wedding amid strict health regulations.
“I just wanna marry my man and if that looks like everyone turning up in astronaut suits…so be it,” Cynthia quips.
Porsha and Kenya’s relationship dramas are also included, with Kenya’s estranged husband Marc Daly filing for divorce as the trailer seemingly makes it appear that he might be asking for alimony. Kenya also gets emotional as she discusses the custody of their daughter Brooklyn.
“He is trying to make this work, but unfortunately, we are just speaking different languages,” Porsha can be heard saying as she cries to her sister Lauren Williams.
Footage from Porsha’s fiery participation in this summer’s Black Lives Matter Protests also takes the stage as the activist is shown speaking to a group of people about racial injustice.
“It could have happened to any of us!” Porsha exclaims to a crowd as her mother, Diane T. Williams, cries. “And that’s why complacency is not something we have the right to live in no more.”
The trailer also comes back around to the stripper/bachelorette party tease from the beginning, showing more drama from the night as the ladies discuss the alleged unfolding of events.
During the next night at dinner, Kenya steps in to make a bold claim about the previous night, saying she heard “sex noises” coming from a bedroom.
No one at the table points fingers at Porsha, but Tanya later tells her someone is “making disparaging comments about me and you involving a stripper.”
“Wow, I’m over this,” Porsha replies.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta is set to return on December 6 at 9/8c on Bravo.
