Kyle Richards is reportedly concerned about how The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is going to impact her relationship with her older half-sister, Kathy Hilton, who joined the series in a part-time role ahead of filming on season 11.
Weeks before the series’ premiere, an insider claims Kyle is worried that her relationship with Kathy will take a turn for the worse, just as her relationship with her sister Kim Richards did on the show years ago.
“Kyle and [Kathy] have worked hard to get their relationship to a good place, and Kyle fears Housewives is going to upset that dynamic, even though it’s good for the show,” an insider told Star. “Things really deteriorated during Kim’s time on the show. Kyle doesn’t want to see that happen again.”
Although Kyle is reportedly hoping that she and Kathy will remain in a good place throughout the soon-to-be-aired season of RHOBH, the source went on to say that if she and Kathy were to suffer a falling out, it wouldn’t lead her to quit the show.
“The show is based on tensions and feuds. And if things go south between Kyle and Kathy, Kyle won’t be the one to leave,” the insider confirmed.
In November 2020, amid filming on RHOBH season 11, an insider suggested Kyle and Kathy were having a “clash of egos while filming.”
“Kathy is a big personality and Kyle is petrified she’ll try to steal her thunder. The sibling rivalry is already intense and it’s bound to get worse!” an insider told Life & Style magazine.
The source then said that Kim was expected to make “an appearance or two” on season 11.
“All three sisters constantly argue and will go for months without speaking, but Kyle and Kim are getting along at the moment and Kyle expects Kim to take her side with the Kathy situation. The producers are ready for it. The bigger the family drama, the higher the ratings!” the insider added.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 11 premieres on Wednesday, May 19, at 8/7c on Bravo.
