Margaret Josephs is looking back at her and Danielle Staub‘s dramatic season 10 fight.
Ahead of the highly anticipated 12th season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Margaret slammed her former co-star as “sick” before revealing if the rumors claiming the cast refused to film with Danielle after her attack were true, speaking of her super-private son, and revealing her favorite moment of the show.
“[Danielle] was just so sick. I’ve never had a physical attack like that,” Margaret said during a September 20 interview with Nicki Swift. “She got me from behind. I was very taken aback, and I was like, ‘This is just not going to happen, and I’m not going to be friends with something like this. I’m not going to work with someone like this.'”
Needless to say, Margaret and Danielle have “no relationship whatsoever” at the moment. And, when it comes to the rest of the RHONJ cast, they refused to film with Danielle after she pulled Margaret’s hair.
“No one wants to work with someone who is so unstable. I mean, that was 1,000% true. No one. I think Bravo doesn’t tolerate. There’s a zero violence policy. That’s just not the show it is. That was truly a violent moment. It crossed the line,” Margaret noted.
Following the release of her book, Caviar Dreams, Tuna Fish Budget: How to Survive in Business and Life, earlier this year, fans learned she hooked up with the lead singer of Foreigner. And, as she reflected on the way in which it was described as an “affair,” Margaret clarified it was “more of like a one night stand.”
“I was like, ‘Totally hot guy, Kelly Hansen.’ Just my type: skinny, a** smaller than mine, amazing voice — and it was a great fling. Great fling. Who doesn’t love a guy with a good voice, right? Hot blooded moment, I always say,” she admitted.
Margaret then said that when it came to her ex-husband, Jan Josephs, he wasn’t too surprised by the news.
“He was like, ‘Ugh, Marge. Typical, TMI. I don’t know why you have to be that way,'” she recalled.
Although her marriage to Jan ended with infidelity, Margaret has done her best to maintain a family unit with his children, whom she helped raised.
“I think we’re a little better,” she explained. “With my son, my middle stepson, it’s definitely better. My stepdaughter, things aren’t amazing. I think there were issues when I even got in a situation when they were much littler, because of things with their mom. But you know, they’re all happy. They’re successful. They’re all close.”
While things are still a bit tense between Margaret and her step-children, she has a great relationship with her biological son.
“He’s amazing. We’re extremely close. He’s a great son and just a great human, and I’m happy that he chooses to stay private,” she said.
In addition to looking forward to the upcoming season of RHONJ, Margaret, who is currently married to Joe Benigno, is looking forward to launching a new drink line.
“We’re actually starting our own mocktail line called Soiree — Soiree your way. It’s an elevated adult beverage. You can use it as a mixer, as well,” she shared. “We’re trying to [launch during the] fourth quarter or definitely for dry January.”
Also during the interview, Margaret said it was the moment she pushed Danielle’s now-ex-husband, Marty Caffrey, in the pool amid season nine that was her favorite moment of the series.
“One of my favorites, watching it back I realize, is the pool push. Because I never realized it was going to be such an iconic moment,” she revealed.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 12 is expected to premiere on Bravo sometime later this year or early next year.
