Kyle Richards didn’t want to kiss her Housewives of the North Pole co-star, Carlos Ponce, out of loyalty to her real-life husband, Mauricio Umansky. In fact, she was so against the idea that she actually changed the script to the Peacock special. Plus, she shares what she did to a woman she caught flirting with Mauricio.
Hours before the film hit the streaming platform, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star explained why she was against the kiss while also dishing on her decades-long marriage to the real estate broker and revealing the extreme reaction she had after catching a woman flirting with him.
“I’ve never kissed anybody else since I met my husband,” Kyle admitted to Entertainment Tonight on December 9, the day that The Housewives of the North Pole was released. “So it went from the lips to the cheek in the movie.”
“I’m kind of shy like that. I mean, I’ve been married for [what] feels like my whole life!” she added.
Kyle also recently discussed her marriage to Mauricio on her niece Paris Hilton’s This Is Paris podcast, via Heavy.
After revealing she and her husband of 25 years have a “synced calendar,” Kyle admitted that while she’s had plenty of crushes, including her latest dreamboat, Lenny Kravitz, who she described as “talented” and “sexy,” she’d be upset if Mauricio had a current celebrity crush.
“If he said that, you don’t understand what I would do to him,” she noted.
Although Kyle confessed to being okay with Mauricio’s “teenage” crush, Heather Thomas, “because that’s when he was a teenager,” and his other crush, Michelle Pfeiffer, she said if he mentions “anybody else, there’s gonna be a problem.”
Kyle then looked back on a moment in which she caught another woman flirting with Mauricio at a party as he danced with one of their daughters.
“I said to her, ‘Get off my husband,’” Kyle shared. “Because she kept putting her hands on him. She wouldn’t listen. So I said ‘Do you want a Manolo in your eyeball? Because I will put a Manolo in your eyeball.’ I had flames coming out of my nostrils and I had her escorted out.”
As viewers of The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip may have seen on the second episode of the Peacock spinoff, Kyle admitted that plenty of women have attempted to slide into Maurico’s DMs, many of who have sent naked pictures of themselves.
“It’s funny because my husband doesn’t know how to work Instagram,” she recalled to co-star Cynthia Bailey. “So he didn’t even know that existed. He says, ‘Can you post this? I don’t know how to do it.’ And I look at the DMs and I’m like ‘Are you f***ng kidding me?’ I’m getting mad at him and he doesn’t even know they’re there.”
“I get so protective because I love him so much and I never knew I could have a relationship like this,” she added.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 12 is currently filming and expected to air on Bravo in 2022.
