Gia Giudice got involved in the drama between her mother, Teresa Giudice, and her co-stars, including Margaret Josephs and Jackie Goldschneider, on the latest episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. And after the show, which featured a charity baseball game thrown by Dolores Catania, the cast looked back on the 21-year-old’s commentary.
After Gia called out Margaret and Jackie for refusing to wear Teresa’s line of leggings during the event, noting that Teresa has supported them in the past, Margaret and Jackie explained their decisions as Teresa applauded Gia for having her back and Joe Gorga said his niece is “too young” to be participating in cast feuds.
“I don’t need to launch someone else’s line while we’re there and I don’t want to talk about it. This is about the charity and Dolores and all the good things she does,” Margaret said on the March 29 episode of the RHONJ: After Show.
And as for Jackie, she had just found out the day before that Teresa “was pushing somebody to dig for information on my husband [Evan Goldschneider] so [she] could destroy my family.” So, as she stated, “I’m not going to be a f-cking walking billboard for your new brand.”
Although the ladies felt they had good reason for not agreeing to wear Teresa’s leggings, Teresa felt Jackie was only refusing to wear them because she’s a “follower” of Margaret and added that she’s supported Margaret in the past.
“Jennifer wore it. Dolores, this was her event, and Dolores actually changed. And Melissa put them on. It’s like everybody that I thought would. Jackie’s a follower. Margaret didn’t do so Jackie didn’t do it,” Teresa explained. “[But] I don’t care. I’ve supported Margaret with stuff for her business and it just showed me what type of person she is.”
While not everyone was happy to see Gia injecting herself into the women’s drama, Teresa said she loved how she spoke out on her behalf.
“It felt good because I don’t have too many people sticking up for me,” she stated.
After Gia made her shady comment to Margaret, no one really knew what to do. After all, as Jackie noted, it’s “very uncomfortable” to argue with someone’s child.
“I was upset. I was like, ‘Gia’s a nice young woman. She doesn’t need to be in this drama,'” Margaret agreed.
And so did Joe.
“I think she’s just too young right now to get involved,” he said. “I just want her to go be happy, be a [then-20-year-old] and just go enjoy her life. She’s been through enough sh-t in her life. Just don’t get involved in this stuff.’”
“Margaret is essentially like a 52-year-old woman. To even try to have a conversation with a 20-year-old is just weird,” Melissa also shared.
But according to Frank Catania, “Everybody’s wrong.”
“It was a fundraiser, which Dolores put together, which was very successful. All that sh-t shouldn’t have came up,” he noted.
Luckily, despite the drama, Dolores remained unbothered.
“I wasn’t really focused on what was going on there. I just wanted peace and a good time,” she explained.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 12 airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
