RHOBH's Garcelle Beauvais Says Watching Erika Cuss at Jax "Hurt," Slams Behavior as "Vicious" and Talks "Scary" Moment With Son, Plus Launches Home Line

Garcelle Beauvais may have received an apology from Erika Jayne on Wednesday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but that doesn’t mean she’s not still dealing with the aftermath and ongoing drama surrounding Erika’s shocking commentary to her son, 14-year-old Jax.

During a recent interview, which took place just before Erika admitted that telling Jax to “get the f-ck out” of his mom’s birthday party was downright “wrong,” Garcelle described the incident as “unfortunate” before noting that watching the scene play out “hurt.”

“It’s unfortunate that that had to happen,” Garcelle told Us Weekly on July 11. “But he’s good. He’s good.”

As RHOBH fans have seen, Kyle Richards, in addition to Erika, has faced backlash over the on-screen moment after she was seen laughing with husband Mauricio Umansky about Erika’s drunken antics (although Kyle has since apologized and denied thinking Erika’s comment to Jax was funny).

Looking back, Garcelle said she was disappointed to see that her kids, including oldest son Oliver Saunders, who Erika hit on, had become part of the drama.

“That’s really tough,” she explained. “That’s definitely crossing the line for sure. No doubt.”

According to Garcelle, watching the episode in question was her “hardest” day.

“It’s one thing to hear what someone said,” she said. “It’s another thing to actually see the scene. It hurt and it was vicious.”

Still, Garcelle said she doesn’t regret having her boys join her on RHOBH.

“If you’re gonna be in my home, you’re going to see my kids. But I’m the type of mom that if I’m celebrating my birthday, my kids are with me. That’s a no-brainer,” she shared.

In addition to dealing with the fallout from Erika’s confrontation with Jax, Garcelle has also been faced with the child suffering a concussion during a volleyball game.

“It was one of those scary moments,” she recalled. “We were focused on making sure that he was OK, and he’s doing great. … A lot happened in one week. Let’s just say that.”

Outside of her family and show drama, Garcelle has plenty to be excited to about after launching her new, Haiti-inspired home collection, Garcelle at Home, with HSN.

“I have been obsessed with home decor and interior design forever. This is like a dream come true,” she confessed of her line, whose prices range from $20 to $130.

“One of the things [about] growing up there is the textures and the colors and the vibe,” she continued. “Home has really become more of the base of the things that we do. It’s really nice to be able to just bring some vibrancy and some tropical flair so that you feel like you’re away, but you’re at home.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 12 airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
