Jax Taylor spoke out in defense of the upcoming 10th season of Vanderpump Rules on Twitter after seeing that a fan of the series had slammed it as a “fail” and suggested it was “dead.”
Days before the premiere of the Bravo reality show’s latest season, Jax reacted to criticism online, suggesting that despite the allegedly lackluster trailer, he’s sure that the new episodes will be “good.”
“[Vanderpump Rules] commercial’s a fail,” the fan had written, via Heavy. “[Ariana Madix] blowing a kiss is painful. This show is [two] years past its prime.”
According to the critic, Pump Rules was a better watch when Jax, as well as Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute, were still on it.
“The loss of [Stassi Schroeder], [Kristen Doute], and even [Jax Taylor]. Nobody else is strong enough to carry this show. Especially Tom’s. There is zero sexiness to bring back. Its dead,” they continued.
But Jax didn’t agree and assured the fan that season 10 wouldn’t be as bad as they were anticipating.
“I am sure it’s good.. Have a great night, thanks for love!” Jax replied.
As Pump Rules fans will recall, Jax and wife Brittany Cartwright confirmed their departures from the series in December 2020, months after Bravo fired Stassi and Kristen due to racially-charged behavior.
“The last [eight] years on Vanderpump Rules have been some of the most challenging, rewarding and fulfilling years of my life. Although this is difficult to share, Brittany and I will not be returning for another season of Vanderpump Rules,” their statements read. “We are excited to take this time to focus on our growing family and share with you our new endeavors. [Bravo], [Evolution USA] and our Vanderpump castmates will always remain close to our hearts.”
In the years since, Jax has continuously suggested that he and Brittany are on the verge of a television comeback, most recently telling his fans and followers on Instagram in January, “We’re coming back baby, we’re coming back.”
And months prior, while appearing on an episode of The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast, Brittany also teased their potential comeback.
“I can’t say 100 percent because you never know what will happen. We’re in the very beginning stages. But we are filming stuff, and we are getting there,” she revealed. “So knock on wood.”
Vanderpump Rules season 10 premieres Wednesday, February 8, at 9/8c on Bravo.
