Scheana Shay finds it “interesting” that Lala Kent claimed no one but Raquel Leviss reached out to her after the Vanderpump Rules season nine reunion taping last week, especially considering she got in touch with her castmate shortly after they wrapped.
In a series of new tweets, Scheana is shooting down reports of a potential snub, looking back at her drama with Charli Burnett, and defending Raquel, who is fresh off a split from James Kennedy, for failing to have her back against Charli at her tea party.
“Lala just pretty much slammed all of you on her recent podcast. Is it true that [none] of you took the time to ask her how she’s doing after the reunion?” a fan asked on Twitter on December 9, giving a nod to statements Lala made on Give Them Lala on Wednesday.
“Interesting bc I txt and checked in w her shortly after filming,” Scheana replied.
On her podcast, Lala told listeners that it was “telling” that she only heard from Raquel, who was also going through a “life-altering” event amid her split from James, and she said that having no one reach out felt like “taking a f-cking bullet.”
Back in October, Lala split from ex-fiance Randall Emmett after he was seemingly caught at a hotel with a couple of other women. And ever since, she’s been struggling to move on as a single mom to their eight-month-old daughter, Ocean Kent Emmett.
Like Lala, Scheana was a new mom when season nine began, and because of that, she had priorities she believes Charli didn’t understand.
“[Scheana] doing this whole season freshly postpartum is wonder woman type sh-t. I could not imagine dealing with petty fights with hormones going haywire and the thing is that [Katie Maloney] and Charlie are just not going to get it,” a fan wrote to Scheana after seeing that Charli had suggested Scheana wasn’t putting the same effort into their friendship as she was.
“Thank you! It was extremely challenging,” Scheana explained. “I love Charli but she just did not understand where my priorities were and still are.”
Scheana then retweeted a shady message, which seemingly suggested she felt that the other ladies of Pump Rules were sh-t talkers.
“I don’t care what friendship last or break, but one thing I know is I love the beautiful bond between [Scheana] and [Ariana]. They always have each others back and never shit talk like the rest of the girls,” the message read.
Another person pointed out that while Charli was mad at Scheana for not having her back when one of her friends grabbed her inappropriately, she didn’t seem to have the same standards for her boyfriend, Corey Loftus, who was also present when the incident occurred.
“So [Charli Burnett’s] mad [at Scheana Shay] but her man was right there and didn’t say sh-t,” the person wrote.
“That was another issue I had w the situation,” Scheana agreed. “I really didn’t think I needed to jump in and say something when A: she handled it well herself and B: her bf was right there and was cool w Oisin after. I think they even shook hands.”
In a final tweet, Scheana reacted to a viewer who shaded Raquel for not speaking out in Scheana’s defense against Charli as Charli confronted her over the grab at Raquel’s tea party.
“So [Charli Burnett] is still holding on to things from last season cause she brought up something [Scheana Shay] said last season when they weren’t actually that close yet Woman shrugging and [Raquel Leviss] you shocked me in this episode I thought you were [Scheana’s] friend. Damn [Raquel Leviss],” the viewer wrote.
“I think Raquel was in an uncomfortable position and trying to see both sides. I do the same thing. And you’re right, I barely knew Charli a few weeks when I had that talk w [Brett Caprioni],” Scheana shared.
