Garcelle Beauvais is sharing her thoughts on Erika Jayne amid her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills castmate’s ongoing legal drama.
As Erika faces claims of embezzlement, Garcelle opened up about what she believes her co-star knew about her now-estranged husband Thomas Girardi‘s shady business dealings before commenting on Thomas’ alleged cheating, the RHOBH cast’s unfair treatment of Denise Richards, and more.
“Everything was developing as we shot. I mean, literally, every day we’d wake up and there’d be something the producers either texted us or we’re reading online or we’re hearing in the news,” Garcelle recalled on the August 4 episode of Access Hollywood‘s “Housewives Nightcap.”
After noting that what Erika was going through amid production on season 11 was “really hard,” Garcelle admitted she isn’t sure if Erika was completely in the dark about the crimes Thomas was committing against his former clients.
“I believe she didn’t know all of it. Is there something she could have known? Maybe. But every marriage has a different dynamic,” she noted. “I felt I was really in the know [but] I was not in the know about everything in my marriage. When you’re dealing with a guy that’s that high-powered, I don’t think he told her everything.”
While there have been rumblings regarding the possibility of Erika skipping the RHOBH reunion, Garcelle pointed out that she’s contractually obligated.
“She’s gotta come to the reunion. I think we all have to show up for the reunion.”
As for her thoughts on Thomas’ reported infidelity, Garcelle found it “crazy.”
“If you look at Erika and you look at Tom. Who’s cheating? Like, what? Come on! You would’ve thought Erika’s swinging from the chandeliers,” she laughed.
Moving onto the way the RHOBH cast continuously questioned Denise about her alleged affair with Brandi Glanville, which she denied, Garcelle said she was bothered by the hypocrisy.
“It irritates me. And also, it doesn’t make sense,” she explained, noting that Erika received no such interrogation. “Some of them knew Denise longer than Erika. I don’t get it. That’s really baffling to me. How come they believe Erika right out of the gate and they never believed Denise? And this is much bigger issues.”
Although Garcelle admitted that she doesn’t watch The Real Housewives of New York City all the time, she said she tuned into recent episodes “to see what [Eboni K. Williams] was bringing.”
“I like Eboni,” she reacted.
As for the recent backlash, Garcelle said RHONY viewers should be more open to meeting different people.
“We’re not all the same. Eboni… she’s definitely paying more attention to detail. For me, I address an issue if it’s in front of me but I also don’t feel like I need to address everybody’s issues,” she noted.
Also during the interview, Garcelle responded to recent reports linking her to Miami’s Local 10 anchor Calvin Hughes.
“We had dinner but I’ve known him for a very long time. We do a lot of great things together for Haiti. But no, I’m not dating him,” Garcelle confirmed, stating that she’s not dating anyone exclusively.
“I’m dating. I’m exploring. I’m having a good time,” she added.
