It’s official! Jim Edmonds and Kortnie O’Connor are engaged.
Over a month after the model first sparked rumors of an engagement as she appeared in social media videos with a massive diamond ring, Kortnie, 36, shared a new photo of the stunning piece of jewelry while also describing 51-year-old Jim’s recent proposal.
“Dear Diary, A month ago, Jimmy asked me to marry him in the most intimate and personal way. I said yes! Love, Kortnie,” she wrote in the caption of an August 12 photo shared on Instagram.
Later, Kortnie opened up about her engagement on her Instagram Stories.
“Now that our families and friends have been informed of our latest news, I’m ready to share it all with you,” wrote Kortnie on August 12. “I have to admit I am not the most public person with my private life, but in an effort to include all of Jimmy’s supportive fans, I wanted to be able to share (without the pressure of the media). It is my hope we will be able to celebrate our prenuptials in bliss. Thank you for all your sincere well wishes.”

This will be Jim’s fourth marriage.
As Real Housewives of Orange County fans may know, Jim had been dating Kortnie since shortly after he filed for divorce from ex-wife Meghan King, the mother of his three youngest children, daughter Aspen, 4, and twins Hayes and Hart, 3. While Meghan, 36, initially had some disparaging remarks about the romance, calling Kortnie her former friend, she recently confirmed she’s supportive of the relationship.
“I would feel that stability for my children is what I care about the most. So any kind of long-term committed relationship that Jim is in, I fully, fully support because that’s absolutely the best for my children,” Meghan, who confirmed her divorce from Jim was finalized in May, told Us Weekly.
“I was a stepmom and I’ve always been the school of thought that the more people to love children the better,” she continued. “And I don’t think that there’s a limited capacity for children to be able to be loved. It’s not like they could only be loved by mommy and daddy. I don’t think that takes away my love for them if they’re going to love somebody else. So I think it’s great.”
Following her October 2019 split from Jim, Meghan dated Christian Schauf before moving on to current flame Will Roos, who she’s been casually dating since earlier this year.
Prior to his five-year marriage to Meghan, Jim was married to the late LeAnn Edmonds Horton, the mother of his two oldest daughters, Hayley and Lauren, and Allison Jayne Raski, the mother of his son Landon and daughter Sutton.
