Erika Jayne is ready to move on from her 21-year marriage to estranged husband Thomas Girardi.
Nearly one year after filing for divorce, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has reportedly reentered the dating pool in Los Angeles, where she’s gone on a handful of dates with different men.
According to an October 25 report from TMZ, Erika began dating in September for the first time since her November 2020 divorce filing. And while her newfound singlehood is something she hasn’t experienced in decades, she’s not taking what may be the most common approach of today: a dating app. Instead, she’s being set up by her friends with local guys.
The report went on to say that the RHOBH cast member is currently seeing if there’s a spark with any of the men she’s been set up with, including those who work in the world of showbiz.
Aside from going on dates, Erika is keeping herself busy as she films scenes for the upcoming 12th season.
Back in January, just months after splitting from Thomas and moving into a $9,500 per month rental home, Erika joked about dating.
“Thinking of making this my online dating profile pic. Thoughts??” she asked, along with a photo of her starring in a campaign for Rihanna‘s Fenty lingerie.
Weeks later, an insider told Hollywood Life that while Erika was “saddened by the whole situation” surrounding her split from Thomas, who she “truly” loved, there’s “no chance for reconciliation” between the two of them.
“They just were not on the same page when it came to how they lived their lives anymore. She’s just focusing on her work and not thinking of dating right now,” the source explained.
As the RHOBH cast films season 12, Erika’s legal drama with Thomas is expected to continue to be spotlighted.
“The ratings were off the charts because of her story line and what she’s exposed,” an insider told Us Weekly earlier this month. “What she’s dealing with [regarding] Tom [Girardi] and the court is not over yet so you can only imagine what next season is going to bring.”
Erika is currently being accused of helping Thomas embezzle millions from widows and orphans of plane crash victims, and she’s also accused of using $25 million in fraudulent transfers from his now-defunct law firm, Girardi Keese, to fund her expensive lifestyle.
