Weeks into filming on the upcoming 12th season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kathy Hilton is still nowhere in sight. But has she quit the Bravo reality series after starring as a friend for just one “long and hard” season, as she described?
In a recent interview, Kathy revealed the real reason behind her production absence before admitting that when it comes to the show, she loves the series — and her castmates.
“The reason I’m not back yet is I’ve just been doing a wedding,” Kathy revealed to E! News on Tuesday, November 23, referring to daughter Paris Hilton‘s days-long wedding festivities with now-husband Carter Reum. “Everybody speculates and all that, but I’ve been busy and haven’t had a chance to really focus and talk with my team and see, you know, what’s going on.”
Although recent rumors have suggested Kathy is refusing to film RHOBH season 12 until she receives a salary raise, Kathy spoke highly of the series and her co-stars, and she said she’s “pretty close to most” of them.
“I absolutely love the show, I have to tell you,” Kathy said. “A lot of people will be on a show and then they’ll talk about it or they’ll badmouth it, [but] I loved all of the girls. I loved the crew in that season. I cannot make one complaint.”
Kathy also applauded the ladies for keeping it real.
“One thing I will say, this is not manufactured drama on the Real Housewives,” Kathy shared. “I will tell you that. The way the girls are, really, what you see is what you get. Hand to god…they fight in front of everybody and fight right in front of us, [but] there’s not, like, when the cameras go off, gossiping. Like, somebody coming up and saying, ‘So and so…’ There’s none of that, where usually with women, the moment someone leaves the room, ‘Yap yap yap.'”
Earlier this month, during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Kathy said, “I don’t right now,” when asked about a potential RHOBH return.
“You know, I don’t know what I’m doing tomorrow,” Kathy said. “I could be skiing off Mount Everest.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 12 is currently in production and expected to air on Bravo sometime in 2022.
