Does the RHONJ Cast Think Teresa Giudice Should Quit? Margaret Suggests Luis Wants to Be Famous as She Admits She Could "Come Back" From Feud

Teresa Giudice and Luis Ruelas‘ relationship was a hot topic throughout the 12th season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. And while many have felt that the show isn’t the best thing for their romance, her castmates don’t seem to think that they will walk away from the show.

Following the finale episode, Teresa’s co-stars reacted to Luis’ outburst, with Margaret Josephs suggesting Luis likes fame more than Teresa and Jackie Goldschneider suspecting that neither party would leave the series, even if doing so was for the benefit of their relationship.

“I liked that he said to her, ‘Let’s go.’ I looked at it like, ‘I’m gonna save you from this. Let’s go. Let’s get out of here. You don’t have to do this anymore. You don’t have to work if you don’t want to. I just bought you a house,’” Dolores Catania noted on an episode of the RHONJ: After Show.

But while Dolores felt that Luis wanting to whisk Teresa away from her Nashville sit down with Margaret was “very romantic,” Margaret was less than impressed.

“That would be nice if that was true. But that’s not true,” she alleged. “He’s a d-ck swinger.”

According to Margaret, she didn’t believe Luis meant what he said because if he did he wouldn’t be “pushing her to do an appearance for $7,500,” and Teresa wouldn’t be having to work so “hard.”

“If he really meant that, she wouldn’t be upset all the time and this would not be the story. He wouldn’t be so angry, upset and they would be jetting off,” Margaret stated.

In addition to calling Luis out for his supposed inauthenticity, Margaret claimed Teresa’s fiancé is loving his new life in the spotlight.

“I think he loves this more than she does,” Margaret claimed.

And although Teresa felt that Luis was sweeping her away “like the prince that he is,” Melissa Gorga noted his demeanor in Nashville was “very annoyed” and “very frustrated.” Then, she noted that the couple could walk away from the show if they really wanted to do so.

“He was just looking at her like, ‘Why do we have to answer to anybody or do this? We actually don’t.’ And he’s right. They don’t have to. They could truly not do this if they don’t want to,” she noted.

Meanwhile, as Jackie watched the scene in Nashville play out, she wondered if she and her castmates had seen the last of Teresa and Luis, and she admitted she wouldn’t blame the two of them if they left the show.

“I mean, there’s been a lot of focus on the man she loves and if she wants to save him from any of that, walking away would make the most sense,” Jackie shared, adding, “But I don’t think either of them would do that.”

In another portion of the RHONJ: After Show, Margaret was asked if she felt there was a possibility of her and Teresa reconciling their friendship after season 12.

“I think time will tell,” Margaret reasoned. “[Teresa] doesn’t think we could come back from this. I think we’re both very different people… [But] I do want her to be happy. I want everything good for her. Even the first season, I wanted to help her with licensing. I have done things and proven myself as a person that I wanted good things for her and she doesn’t see that.”

While Teresa has felt that Margaret set out to pop her love bubble, Margaret believed she was simply encouraging her friend to keep her eyes open in regard to Luis’ past.

“And what would she tell her other friends if they were in these shoes?” Margaret wondered as Dolores pointed out that Teresa “says it” if she “thinks that somebody’s not good for one of her friends.”

“She says it all the time,” Margaret confirmed. “I’ve seen her in her not-in-front-of-camera life say to other friends, ‘Ugh, he’s a jerk, he’s a this,’ for a lot less evidence.”

According to Margaret, she believes she and Teresa could ultimately get to a better place.

“I could come back from it,” she said. “I did think we had a bond, and I thought I understood her. But maybe I don’t understand her the way I thought I did.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s three-part season 12 reunion special begins next Tuesday, May 3, at 8/7c on Bravo.
