Jax Taylor hosted an impromptu Q&A session with his fans and followers on Instagram on Tuesday night. And during the chat, the Vanderpump Rules star teased new “projects” with Brittany Cartwright.
Before offering an update on his relationship with Tom Sandoval and revealing if he and Brittany will attend Scheana Shay and Brock Davies‘ upcoming wedding, Jax suggested, as he’s done many times before, that he and Brittany are headed back to television soon.
After saying that while he “could not be happier” with his current life, he’d love to move to the Midwest, and Jax revealed that he and Brittany are in talks for “some” new projects.
“If I had it my way, we’d be moving right now but we’ve got some projects in the works that we’re really excited about so keep following us,” he teased.
Then, after a fan asked, point-blank, if he was “gonna be on TV again,” Jax raised his eyebrows up and down.
He further hinted at his and Brittany’s return to television when a third person questioned him about a “potentially expected air date of [the] new show.”
“God I wish I could talk about this,” he said, seemingly suggesting he was under some sort of contract.
Another person wondered, “When are you and Tom going to make up?”
“I have no ill will towards Tom. I wish the best for him and hope the best for him,” Jax replied. “We just are going different ways in our lives and this is just the path I chose. And that’s the path he chose. No harm, no foul. We see each other, we say, ‘Hi.’ That’s it.”
Someone else asked Jax if he’d be attending Scheana and Brock’s wedding in Mexico.
“We finally got Cruz’s passport last Friday so we are going to Scheana and Brock’s wedding… Cancun here we come!” Jax confirmed after missing Stassi Schroeder and Beau Clark‘s wedding in Italy in May, allegedly due to his one-year-old son Cruz’s lack of a passport at the time (among other things).
Speaking of Cruz, Jax was also questioned about when he and Brittany would be expanding their family.
“We’re definitely going to have another baby. We’re just kinda waiting a little bit,” Jax shared. “I kinda wanna wait until one-and-a-half, two years before we have another. About two years, I think.”
Since welcoming son Cruz in April 2021, Jax has been enjoying all that comes with being a parent, and he said he looks forward to everything that is to come.
“He’s just getting into the fun ages right now. We’re in the big plastic toy phase so we’re starting basketball, slides, swings, all the fun stuff. Every day is fun. I’m so blessed,” he gushed.
“I haven’t really hit the point where anything’s hard yet,” Jax continued of parenting. “I just have to learn to let go a little bit and stop being a helicopter parent. I gotta let him hurt himself a little bit. I gotta let him make mistakes, fall. I wanna protect him all the time.”
Also during the Q&A, Jax said he felt the “most misunderstood” on “seasons one through nine,” signaling his entire run on the show, and he noted that his favorite memory from the show was “marrying [his] wife.”
