Lala Kent claims fans are in for an “absolutely insane” 10th season of Vanderpump Rules.
As viewers wait on the edge of their seats for the first look at the new episodes, which are expected to chronicle Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz‘s divorce, Scheana Shay and Brock Davies‘ wedding, and Tom’s rumored romance with Raquel Leviss, Lala is making it clear that the upcoming season will be worth the wait.
“It’s going to be absolutely insane,” Lala told PEOPLE on September 30. “And without giving away too much, I feel like with everything that happened, and cast members who have exited, we finally have our footing again.”
“And the dynamics, the stakes are so much higher because there’s people getting married, divorced, children involved. And we’re not 23 anymore. We’re not going to shake things off like we used to,” she continued.
According to Lala, she used to think that she and her Pump Rules castmates were “really resilient.” But after filming season 10, she believes they may not be able to come back from the behaviors of certain cast members.
“Things this season, I don’t think we’ll come back from,” she admitted. “It’s the year of burning bridges. And that makes me so sad because a lot of people’s actions this season, I really don’t know that we’ll be able to come back from them.”
It will be “hard to relive because it’s our real life,” she noted.
Still, despite the adversity she and her co-stars reportedly faced amid production, Lala has high hopes for viewers’ reactions to the new episodes.
“I’m excited for people to see this season,” she shared.
As Pump Rules fans will recall, the series was renewed in May — just two months after Katie and Tom confirmed their split and five months before Tom was first linked to Raquel.
As for the happenings of Lala’s own life, she confirmed last month that her daughter, one-year-old Ocean Kent Emmett, would not be featured on the new season. And days later, her former fiancé, Randall Emmett, the child’s father, shared with Reality Blurb that he had decided to keep her off-camera.
“Randall felt being a storyline on a reality show was not in the best interest of his child and continues to put her wellbeing and privacy first and foremost,” his rep told us in a statement.
Vanderpump Rules season 10 wrapped production in September and is expected to premiere on Bravo sometime later this year or early next year.
