Chris Bassett threw shade at Gizelle Bryant on Twitter amid Sunday night’s new episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac.
After Gizelle exhibited some hypocritical behavior on the show, shutting down the idea that Juan Dixon made Karen Huger uncomfortable after insisting Chris had done the same to her, Chris reacted to a fan who called Gizelle out and shaded her for “flip flopping” as wife Candiace Dillard-Bassett also weighed in.
“It’s so interesting to me how Gizelle was telling [Candiace Dillard-Bassett] that [Chris Bassett] made her feel extremely uncomfortable [and] that she HAS to respect that but when Karen told her that Juan made her feel uncomfortable with a hug, she’s ‘delusional,'” the fan wrote on January 29.
“It’s the flip flopping idiocy for me,” Chris replied.
Chris then responded to another Twitter user, who claimed Gizelle lied about a number of her RHOP castmates — all while expecting people to believe the allegations of inappropriate behavior she made against him throughout the season.
“Gizelle sits there [and] lies about these women out the side of one of her necks [and] she purposely twist stories/events about the women but she wants people to believe her about [Chris Bassett],” the person shared, along with a hashtag for “green-eyed liar.”
“For seven years we been watching her fail at playing ‘telephone’ ….but NOW…all of sudden, she’s has an impeccable memory,” Chris agreed, adding the “Sure, Jan” hashtag.
And after seeing her husband’s post, Candiace weighed in with a message of her own, expressing amusement at his reaction.
“Sure Jan is sending me,” she said.
Earlier this month, while appearing on Page Six’s podcast, Gizelle hinted she would be doubling down on her claims against Chris at the reunion.
“I know my truth and I know how I feel about things — and that’s what I will speak on,” she declared. “There’s things I haven’t said to protect Candiace’s feelings because we were friends. Based on how [Candiace] has reacted on social media and how she has played this all the way out and she’s the victim … I no longer feel that way.”
“I will not hold back [at the reunion],” she added.
The Real Housewives of Potomac season seven airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
